Hi , hope everyones doing great! I got the First NOA on Jicelles Fiancee Visa on March 1st! Im pretty happy not that the process is finally starting! Jicelle just got back from her second trip to Cebu, they were really making it hard for her to get her CFO certificate but she hung in there and finally came away with it this time. Guess they really want the girl to have their guys birthdates straight and she was a little mixed up on mine. They wanted to see a copy of my passport page that I didnt send her yet. Nice to have the CFO class thing out of the way now though. All she needs now is the NBI clearance to arrive and we should have most of the stuff she needs for her interview. Hope the the NSC sends my Original Certificate of Naturaliztion back soon, I sort of blew it, by rushing to send off the I-129 so fast. Guess I could have sent a copy. Found out on the newsgroup the next day. The kicker is I even forgot to write down my Cert. Number which is one of the questions they ask on the I-134 affadavit of support. So now the word is they I-129s are asking for it? Hope they send my cert. back in time. Ill need it to get my US passport to go get her too. Kinda shot myself in the foot here it appears. Guess its good to be thorough and not in TOO much of a rush huh? I wonder if I give her my last 3 years tax forms and Letter from employer they will let us skate on the I-134?..working on sending her the evidence of relationships stuff now, Guess you need to give her the same stuff you sent the INS in the beginning, good thing I made copies of all that stuff already. Im going to include copies of the hotel bills from Tacloban city too. Im going to tell her to really try to convince the person at St lukes to take ALL the stuff too, since I guess they are kind of being dweebs and picking only certain things out to send the embassy, probably just trying to sabotage things for people. Got to try to keep a balance thats the hard part, this should be a fun process, waiting for approval and your girl, not such a stressful one! My best to everyone !!

Hi Mog,

Doing great here! It certainly is a good feeling when things start moving along. You will be really pumped when you receive the 2nd NOA! Each step gets more exciting! When she gets the Visa, you will be pumped for days!!! ;o)))

I got my 2nd NOA on 2/19/02. I received paper in mail aout a week later. I also sent in my only certified copy of my Birth Certificate. I just received that back yesterday 3/4/02. That should give you an idea of how long to get it back. This was also coming from the NSC.

I spoke to a lady at the INS national number and she said yes, they will keep your documents through the end of the process UNLESS you write and request them. I sent a handwritten, POLITE, respectful letter to the NSC and got a handwritten reply two weeks later. They had done a name search but were unable to find me as I had not received even my first NOA yet, and asked me to resubmit my request after I got a receipt number. Which I have done now. My gosh why would you send them your only Birth Certificate? I only sent my Cert of Naturalization because the old I-129 form I had been givin stated to do so. It clearly states copies are appropriate for everything else.
