7:00 a.m.    Nearly punched a cab driver in the nose.   (He deserved it)

11:00 a.m.   Snatched a 1 or 2 year old kid out of the path of a jeepney. Think I dislocated his shoulder doing so.  Sad

2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  Spent 3 hrs walking around trying to find an internet cafe... that works!

Not exactly paradise.

Tommorrow... on to CEBU!!!

All is well!   Smiley

hi larry,
yes the cab drivers do deserve to get busted.joanne and i were going back and forth between the best western, and immigration, taxi ride between, 41 and 48 p each way several time a day for 2 day's. get one cab, same trip, 89p gave him 50p told him his meter was illegal and we walked away.if we get in one and he doesn't turn the meter on, we ask to get out.!
in the philippines, if you take someone to the hospital, you are responsible for them, if you do first aid, you are responsible for them, next time, just walk on by. its hard, but they will scam you for several p. someone get hit by a jeppy, a crowd gather's around, and watch. noone touches them because they become responsible for them.
enjoy

Why always the problems Larry? where are you staying at? There are internet cafe's all over Ermita. Had you stayed at the slouch hat they have internet access also. (its on Del pillar not far from U.N. AVE Robertsons also has lots of internet cafe's look up by the food court. I forgot to give you my airport tricks;-) I like Ermita because everything is within walking dis. Think positive!

Am in cebu now. No problems here!  Smiley  Such a contrast between the two cities.

Cabby was unable to find the slouch hat, but I found it yesterday before I left manila. Will probably stay there on my way back through. Yes, it looked like a nice area, much nicer than the cesspool I was in.

Met with my friend Jovy yesterday also. She bought me lunch. We walked around for a couple hours. Had a good time.

My partner rick showed up this am. We'll start our quest later today.

All for now.

Larry.
