  Hi ya'll,
Been reading but not much posting. Welcome to the new posters and hi to all the old. Some advice to the new; love is just around the corner, just be there to reconize it.
I'm just letting everyone know that I'm packing my bags and checking them twice. My wife, Nancy, is in Manila staying with her sister geting ready for her medical and later interview.
I'm checking out hotels on Asiatravel.com whom I've used before  in Cebu. I'm quite excited about the hotels in Manila. I've done one sleepy layover there and the hotel that I don't remember was okay.
I've read the archives about hotels in Manlia and I'm ready to spend some money on a second honeymoon, not counting the Ferry ride down to Surigao. My fifty dollar rule towards hotels does not quite fit Manila. Maybe $75 to $100 for two nights might apply? Any ideas?

  Thanks,
  Surigao Ken

  P.S.
I need a grammer checker and learn not to type when drinking beer.
   Take care all!

Hi,
I looked at City Garden Hotel on the net and it looks good, coudn't find any information on the Harrison Plaza though, maybe its new?
I filled the I130 Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(e), or Orphan form. We were married on August 18, 2000 in Surigao before her friends and family. I flew my parents down with me and took them along on the honeymoon. I wonder if I'm the only one who has done that.
I really have fallen in love with the Philippines and I'm planning to build a retirement home there. (Many years down the road.)
Thanks again for the input about hotels, I haven't made up my mind yet.
Take care all,
Surigao Ken

Hey, check this out...I was just there in Manila and spent 5 weeks over there with my wife.

Try the Harrison Plaza Hotel along pasay road..it is a very luxurious hotel and is cheap --- $30 a day (24 hrs.). very nice hotel and i think it is relatively close to the embassy...they also have a casino on the 5th floor (..i think that's where it's at..)
so try it and you'll save a lot of money...

Good luck....hey , is nancy going for her K3 interview or K1..I just need to know how the process goes..

For about $40.00/night you'll get a first class hotel.
