I have been chatting with a very nice woman in manila for over a year on yahoo mesanger. We come to like each other very much :-).

My question is it hard to bring her to Canada??and what would be the best(cheapest and  easiest)way to do this?

Its my understanding that she can get a visa as a fiance and I dont even have to go there is this the best route?

any advice someone can give would be most welcome thanks :-)

... and welcome. I have to agree with Ray below and with Patrick's response to the Thai post, a couple of threads below. In response to one horror story on these boards a while back, I wrote this:

This endeavor is not for the non-comitted. The risks are high but so are the rewards. I recommend you slow down, take your time, and be sure of what you're getting yourself into.

First, let me welcome you to the forum.

Now, best does NOT equate with cheapest and easiest! If you want cheap and easy, try your local neighborhood bowling alley. Serious though, this will not be cheap and it will not be easy. From what I’ve heard from some of our Canadian posters, the immigration process in Canada is probably at least as difficult as it is here in the States.

If you want to do this thing right, then start making plans to travel to Manila to meet your lady friend. Don’t wait too long because if you don’t seem serious about a lifetime relationship, most of the ladies over there will lose patience and find someone else who is willing to get on the plane. Remember, while you are chatting, she is growing older.

Is there any reason why you wouldn’t want to visit her first before you commit to a lifetime together??? If so, please explain.

Note: This advice is Free.
