Hey guys, as there are a lot of newbies on the board these days, I thought I would share a story about something that happened with Scanna, and Firstdream. (That is positive).

I know there has been speculation about the future of Anastasia. And since Scanna and Anastasia are affiliated, there has been some concern about them.

But I have always liked the format of their website. They don't just recycle the "mega-database" of women that so many sites do. Many of their women are only on their site. I like their search engine. Many of the pictures seem to have been taken in their own office, and I like their over-all presentation.

Anyway, I ordered some addresses from them. One of the ladies -- named Anna -- lived in Odessa, so I hired Firstdream to deliver a rose and my introductory letter to her. (BTW, for the record. I have done this four times. It's pricey, so you need to make sure you really want to do it. But I have had a 75% success rate with it. Usually the lady IS impressed by the extra effort...)

Well, this "lady" (and I will use the term loosely) was not receptive. I applaud Firstdream's agent for her diligent efforts in delivering the rose and letter.

First, Anna said that she didn't want it. Then she asked if she could just have the money, instead of the rose. (She said she was allergic to roses.) The agent offered to give her candy instead. So, she accepted.

The agent arrived at the apartment at the appointed time, and the lady was not available. (She was supposedly in the bath.) Her mother said she would take the candy and letter. The agent wanted to take a picture of Anna, but Anna -- through her mother -- refused. The agent noted that the bathroom was, in fact, dark. No one was in there. She was sent away without being able to ever see the elusive "Anna".  I later received an email from "Anna" saying that she did not like Americans, and was not interested.

OK... so... I contacted Scanna with the story.

They immediately contacted Anna to verify the story. Of course, Anna put a different spin on things. But Scanna said that she was very rude, and offered me three free addresses as a replacement. I think that is a very fair offer.

They are also still trying to verify that she is who she says she is, and if not they will remove her from their catalog. At the very least, they have updated her profile to state that she is only looking for Europeans.

You can't ask for anything more.

The fact is, any agency can end up with an insincere lady. It is what they do about it that is most important.

I appreciate Scanna's reaction and attitude. I also really appreciate Firstdream's perseverance in their efforts to deliver the letter to a lady who tried her best to prevent them.

Is provide a video clip of the lady.  Is that really that hard to do ?  No.

I guarantee any site that did that would have astronomical hits at their website.

AFA does it with select women now. IKAR, which is a good site if you are going to St. Petersburg does it.

There's even a site just of video clips:

www.russian-women-video.com

But that doesn't solve the problem. A woman can go there and be gorgeous... and still be a scammer.

You pays yer money, ya takes yer chances...

this site offers it for 70% of their women.  They are all getting into it or will be but it's just another way to rake you over the coals...  http://www.volgagirl.com/

I think you should set that up on your website..or at the least A still camera of your tomato's growing...

It was Foreign Secrets, now defunct. I think Faces of Siberia may still have them but I don't think they can be trusted now. I think they fell on hard times and some guys got scammed.

Barry was never a client of ours that we are aware of as we believe this coming from a competitor or complete idiot which is always possible in this business as most of you can imagine.

I personally videotaped over 900 new women in 2001 and had two beauty contests in Russia.  One in Novosibirsk and one in Omsk Russia.

The Foreign secrets domain is no longer owned by our company.  Anybody can check this and see the whois.

In 2001, I was featured on television about 9 times.  I was featured in national newspapers including Washinton Times, San Antonio Express News, Houston Chronicle etc.  I was featured guest on over 100 talk radio shows including WGN in Chicago and WOAI in San Antonio to name a few.

Thus, this is reality.  This individual apparently has issues obviously.

If any concerns, we invite you to visit our site at face of siberia and see for yourself.

Thanks

When you still have references to the previous business without an explaination, one can assume that you are still with the other business. The fact that it has become a porn site also raises suspicions of your viability. You should have grabbed the domain when "Secrets" took a dump in order to save your other company from these kinds of questions.

Hey Ashley,

I don't think Barry was insinuating that he had been scammed by you. I think he was passing on some rumours that he had heard. You can understand how these things happen when doman names change hands and such.

Don't just post once and then leave, though. Stick around. Most guys on here are honest and sincere, and you probably have a lot of information that could be of value.

BTW, I checked out your site. Nice idea, the videos.

Siberia's a BIT far... or I would probably be tempted :-)
But.. who knows...?

Look under press releases. It's over a year old but it is very careless to not have updated information about the business.

I do like the ladies on his site but he doesn't keep his house in order and resolve past problems, how can you trust his business?

I'm trying to find the scam reports on some "Secrets" ladies from quite a while ago. It may not have anything to do with his current business but until he decides to post an honest explaination of the demise of "Secrets" I'm still going to wave the red flag over his agency.
