I sent in my I-129F and I know that they recieved my packet on October 25th but I haven't gotten any official notice from the TSC that they recieved it or are working on it.

I was under the impression that when they recieved it they would send me a reciept that they got it and then later a notice that they were working on it.

I looked at some of the timelines and everybody seems to be getting some sort of notice in about a week and here it is over 2 weeks and nothing....

I really wish I could kick someone in the A** at the TSC and get them going on it.  Why could it be taking so long for a simple notification and what can I do about it.  I already posted something on the TSC complaint board but it just looks like a discussion board to me.  Does someone at the TSC reply to my post there or is there a way that I can find out what is going on there and why I haven't recieved my Notice.

Thanks  Jim

If you pay by personal check, they write the case number on the back- some people get their cashed checks back (from their bank) before the NOA arrives. With the case number, you can, at least, communicate clearly with them about your case...
Best of luck!

Go back to the TSC dicussion board posts, and look at the posts over the last two weeks. Several people who filed around the first week of October are just now having their checks clear. I filed 10/3 and am not among those, yet. I don't think the board is managed by TSC. And if it is, I prefer they spend their time processing apps instead of responding to posts!

An Albuquerque immigration attorney's office informed me the TSC, as of this moment, is taking 6 to 8 weeks to return 1st NOA's. They didn't want to discuss other timeline elements with me unless I turned over a retainer. Which I won't do.

I know its D*MN hard to relax, so instead I would suggest that you spend this time studying the embassy info where your fiance's interview will be held. IE: Warsaw will establish provisional files after your 2nd NOA is received. If you and your fiance have packet 3 completed when you receive your 2nd NOA, you can shave weeks off the waiting game. I do not know specifics about other embassies, but it is a good investment of time otherwise lost to worry.

My 2 cents...

INS in CA received my papers the exact same day as yours-- 10/25. I received the Notice of Action in my mailbox on 11/6. That's all I can tell you and I hope this helps. Good luck to all of us!

Be patient, In '99 I got mine through Vermont which is much faster than the TSC.  I think INS is overwhelmed of late - we sent in our permanent green card application and waited almost three months for the receipt.  Hurry up and wait seems to be the order of the day at INS.

I see some couples have waited for up to a 2 week period for notification.  Perhaps I am being too impatient but I worry that everything is processing okay.  I just want things to go along as quickly as possible.

I would still appreciate your comments on the subject and how long you all waited for notification or what would be a reasonable amount of time to wait for notification.

Thanks, Jim
