Isn't it true that Latinas spend New Years Eve with their families and hence a new years eve party in Cali will not have many chicas present?

At midnight, in the barrios of Barranquilla, they will   simultaneously play a cd "Cinco segundo hasta Aņos Nuevos" which begins with a loud siren sound announcing the new year. On a stuffed dummy figure, all misfortunes are written in words and phrases to rid the family of sickness, hardship, bad luck etc, and set fire on every sreet corner. Single women superstitiously run from their mother's homes dressed in wedding gowns, suitcases in hand, down the streets yelling "me caso este aņo" in hopes the upcoming year will find them married. The main strips resemble nothing less than uno York Nuevo pequeno after a World Series victory. It is almost impossible to get from bar to bar without being squirted by una bulsa plastico del agua. Free concerts are held in the center (Shakira played in 2004). Inside the bars they dance on the chairs and tables. We got back to the El Prado at 5 am last New Years.
