Following private talks with Alvaro (President Uribe to you guys) I have respectively declined his renewal offer to run Colombia. The occupation of running my little agency while tactically hunting down Colombian terrorist and imposing needed economic reforms has been a rewarding tenure. But due to unexpected exposure of my influences on Alvaro (President Uribe to you guys) I will focus my endeavors outside the governmental affairs of Colombia.  As a final fulfillment I submitted my economic forecast to Alvaro (President Uribe to you guys) and as an exclusive to the board you can see a small portion below.

Patrick has also asked me to announce that for now on anyone even thinking about offering any opinion on any issue under the domain of any politician will be censored under Beenthere’s  “Because I say so, OK??” dictate of restrictive speech... because, well... I can’t think of nothing else to say OK??

Despite improvements in public security, resulting from the weakening of the guerrillas and the demobilization of over 10,500 paramilitaries, the situation remains poor and an outright victory against the guerrillas appears remote. I expect the fiscal program to remain broadly on track in 2006, but electoral considerations will impede progress on reforms, creating uncertainty about the outlook in 2007. After surpassing 4% in 2005, GDP growth will slow slightly, as international conditions become less supportive. A deterioration in the trade balance will widen the current-account deficit. After appreciating in the past 18 months, the peso will weaken in the forecast period.

... in response to I have an important announcement, posted by Jamie on Dec 18, 2005

Jamie,

Haven't you learned by now how BT responds to a sardonic sense of humor?  I'm not sure if he appreciates your literary style but I sure got a kick out of it.

I don't think it's Patrick you have to watch out for...it's those finely Honed Ojos de Hoda looking for those Helix Threads that will get ya in trouble.  Good ol' Hawk-eye Hoda :-)

Merry Christmas Guys (u2 BT)
