They have each recalled their ambasadors. Apparently, through diplomatic channels, Fox demanded an appology for Chavez calling him "The United States' puppy dog" (I'm sure that will come as a suprize to a LOT of people in the US) during the recent trade conference in S. America and Chavez basicaly replied "Bite the big one, Vincente."

Before the attempted coup, Chavez use to talk about recreating Gran Colombia, which during Bolivar's time include what is now Venezuela, Colombia, Panama and Peru.  He hasn't said anything about it since the coup attempt......

Take care,

Mark

What, Mr. Fox is obligated to stifle anything the U.S. favors?  I never realized Chavez spoke for (and ruled) Central and South America.  This is clearly a coup d'etat by Fox!  Who's on the CIA payroll!  And is a Halliburton shareholder!

Good to see someone else in this hemisphere standing up to Chavez. The guy would be a pathetic joke if he wasn't so potentially dangerous.
