So, the feminist can't for the life of them figure out why guys are going down South to find a wife or even a girlfriend.
Let's see, let's try this excerpt from Maureen Dowd's book:
"There's a body of evidence now that the Y chromosome is rotting at such a fast rate that it will go out of business in about 100,000 years," she said on "American Morning."
"So now that women don't need men to reproduce and refinance, the question is, will we keep you around? And the answer is," she added puckishly, "you know we need you in the way we need ice cream, you'll be more ornamental."
She goes on to say:
"Just as there were excesses at the beginning -- the early feminists [tried] to rule out a lot of the sexuality and frivolity and, you know, they demonized Barbie and Cosmo girl in high heels and shopping and a lot of the fun stuff women like -- at the end, you know, they are equally sort of into conformity, but completely the opposite way," she told CNN's Anderson Cooper.
"The beginning was about not being a sex object, and now women are turning themselves into self-actualizing sex kittens and looking for their inner slut, and even tweens are wearing T-shirts that say, 'My Dad Thinks I'm a Virgin' and 'You Looked Hotter Online.' "
So, the feminist would have us take them as they are?    Our choices are a Feminazi who doesn't want to be looked at as sex-object and think Barbie is the root of all things evil towards women or we have to settle for a woman "looking for their inner slut." ? Geez! What a choice.
A SAD state of affairs. I think these feminists are starting to realize that we just don't want what they are selling. We don't agree with their ethic. Fewer and fewer guys are wanting to be with them and so they have to do something to stop the exodus of men going to the Asia, Russia, or South America, hence this proposed bill against marriage agencies. It has simply gotten to the point where they, the feminist, don't want men to have their own choice in who they want as a wife or girlfriend and they want a bill passed to stop us from making these God given choices. And you know, that only cements men more into their resolve to find someone other than an American woman.
Later Gators,

so she belittles them.

note her make over and picture in the NYT now compared to about 5 years ago when she looked like the president of the soccer mom association of New Jersey

now she is attempting to look attractive.   buying into the mating game she pretends to deplore.

I agree with you completely. These feminists are contradicting themeselves so much it is funny. If we are nothing more than "ice cream" to them, why do they even care if we travel elsewhere to find a wife? The fact that they go as far as to try to pass legislation against agencies just shows how much they DO CARE. The more they whine and complain about the foreign bride concept, the more stupid they look.

I think Maureen Dowd needs to get laid badly- if not by a man, then perhaps a woman with a sex toy.

haven't heard from you in a month of Sundays (translation: a long time...lol).

On guys going outside North America, looking for a lifemate/girlfriend...The number of guys exercising this option is still very, very, very, very low. The majority of men here in NA who moan about the social scene here, are too lazy, too scared & too cheap to venture outside their circle of comfort. Hence, they settle for what's available here in their backyard. Now men such as ourselves, are a different breed. I believe, that the women behind this legislation want to TRY to stop men like ourselves....BECAUSE WE KNOW BETTER!!! These same women, don't want us infecting the masses with success stories of love, happiness & marriage.

FWIW....those men who have gone outside these borders "to find & be found by love" usually fly under the radar, once they're successful. Why you ask? Who in their right mind would want to subject themselves & their loved ones to the public abuse & scorn from a few sorry ass women, who see the prospect of the "Cream of the Crop" heading South, East & West....

Considering all the paperwork required to get visa's for our ladies & what we  have to provide (tax returns, police report, etc) & the WAITING, how much more s**t should we have to go through?

... and you don't know how close I came to falling victim to my own "Circle of Comfort!"  Now I have married the woman of my dreams.

I had been searching in the US for nearly 20 years for just the right woman, it is amazing how fast I was able to find her just by thinking for a few minutes "outside the box".  And the "box" is HERE in the US.

My search in the US lasted 20 years, countless failed relationships (mostly because of CHEATING) and one divorce, child support the works!!!

My search overseas lasted 2 months, and I was already sending email to the woman I will probably be married to forever, with values the women here in the US throw in the trash!

Lurkers, your own "Circle of Comfort" may be the feminists biggest weapon.  Don't let them use it on you.

Yeah, I'm still around. Just got bored and decided to post something. Obviously, I have a different perspective of American women after being in Cali for years and then I come back to the States. UGH!

this is true. i know i notice the difference after being there for a few weeks. there really is a huge difference in attitudes between colombianas and aw, its so much nicer to be around a woman that is happy with herself, secure, intelligent and feminine, traits many aw lack.

I think you make a good point about why the feminists are trying to stop American men from going overseas for a wife. I understand that the leader of the campaign to put the “marriage brokers” out of business, Maria Cantwell(D-WA), has never been married and lives with her mother. Do you suppose that has anything to do with her REAL motivation in pushing her agenda?

Maria, we know you are lurking out there, so why not come on line and debate the issue with some of the men who you are trying to punish with your proposed legislation? :-)
