The Lucky Ones

A question to those of you who are married or currently engaged. About how long from first contact (either phone/email/letter) to actual visit, to actual marriage/engagement, did it take those of you, who fit this category. I would like to also hear from those who might not have followed through, but at least intiated the first phase as well. Thanks!

Met 7/25
proposed7/27
married 8/29
arrived USA 9/24
Still happily married 4 1/2 years later

First contact - December 28, 2003

Engagment  January 7, 2005

Arrived here in the United States on Fiance Visa July 9, 2005

Civil Marriage  July 13, 2005

Church Marriage   January 14, 2006

2 months from first email to first meeting
3 months from first meeting to marriage
6 months from marriage to arrival in the US
We've been married slightly more than 2 years and we are still very much in love.

7 months between first email to meeting her,we became a couple    a few days after our first meeting.
2 months later i surprised her on her birthday.
3 months after that i proposed, so a little over a year until i proposed from initial contact. we'll be getting married in a year, theres no rush. since the beginning it's been many emials, phone calls, instant messaging, video chat and of course my trips.

Total from first contact to marriage-15 months

Engaged in 6 months
Married in 14 months
Celebrated 1st anniversary in Sept.
