Hopefully, justice will be served in the court system.
His employer should be able to verify his presence at the time of the domestic calls. Plus, I imagine there were no injuries. And the gun issue should be easy to disprove.

Still, only a fool rushes this process.

Yes he just filed for a divorce last week and has hired a lawyer to represent him. But it is really hard. It seems impossible to get immigration to even look at something like this.

Their main focus is terrorism and major crime. They pretty much disregard anything below that line. I have a friend who is an agent there and can't even get him to look at it.

So I wlould pretty much write it off as a loss and move on. It's just not worth it.

Thanks, Mike

"How can anyone avoid this?"...

This guy married this girl WAY too soon...he met her in October, sets her up financially immediately, then returns a few months later to ask her to marry him.  He didn't even know this woman!!!  Yet he married her almost immediately...
This guy needs to take some of the blame for not doing his due diligence on the woman...She saw this guy coming a mile away!!!  If he was a pitcher in baseball he'd be one of the best "set-up" men in history!!!

I think in almost all cases this kind of thing can be avoided if the guy can just control himself, take his time and use a little common sense.  You said it yourself, he met her and began providing for her financially before they were even fiancees.  Good guy or not, this is a prescription for disaster.  I've never understood why guys start providing financially for their novia, it strikes me as rather dim-witted.  Sorry but I think this kind of thing is easily avoided, it's called getting to know the gal you're dating first before offering her the K-1 prize.

Yes!

I made that mistake my first trip and won the ultimate prize of supporting her, her daughter and the father of her daughter YES she was still with the father of her daughter. My new fiancee has an ultimadem. I do not provide for her financially. I have set up a pay pal account and will put money there for any emergency. She does not ask and I do not offer.

She also has debt she must pay off before we get married. Or I don't take that last step. I have been with her since March 2005. In some ways it is nice to help out, but I agree some of these guys go overboard. I feel bad for my friend Javier, but none of them would listen to me. They all went to Cali and Bogota looking for a good time. I want to Barranquilla looking for a wife.

I still have yet to get married.

Thanks for the response!

Thanks, Mike
