I cannot get through to Avianca. Their answering machine usually puts me on hold for less than one minute but lately I have been on hold for so long I finally give up (more than one hour). I understand the holidays are approaching but I have never had this problem in the prior years. I know that Avianca has several phone numbers. These are the ones I have been using:

1-800-284-2622
1-305-599-7200
1-786-265-2122

Does anyone know of any numbers that can get me through faster? I called information and they were of no help. Thanks in advance.

Zack

I try and always fly Avianca/SAM and generally have  no problems.  Your problem with getting through is the heavy demand during the holiday season.  I would bet you will be had pressed to find anything between Dec. 12/Jan6.  Keep trying you will get through using 284-2622.  It's their reservation center in Medellin.

Push comes to shove try a travel agent.

BTW, service has really improved since Avianca was sold to a Brazilian company. The wife and I have flown several time Bogota/Cali; Bogotá/Santa Marta and Bogotá/Medellin and the change is amazing. Doesn't make any difference but the "new name" is Aerovias del Continente Americano S.A. Avianca but Avianca will do.

1-800-846-2237 Use Avianca. They are the best for flying to BQ just remember to carry on items that will hold you over for a day in case your luggage gets left behind a day.

Good luck and let me know what kind of rates you get.

Do your best to always use American Airlines or Continental. Do your best to avoid flying Avianca.

The 2 commercial (airlines) American companies are better organized than "avemaria!!!-ka!!!"

I agree but neither American nor Continental Airlines flies directly to BQ.
