Colombia For Christmas. When should i buy Tickets?

The cheapest i can find on Orbitz are $300 more than i usually pay. any suggestions? Should i buy now or wait?  Is it mandatory to accompany her back to Colombia for the first time? i mean, now that i've finally got my wife here, why the hell do i need to go back-right?  I think i can wait 'til next year...(-;

if you havent bought them by now, your screwed!!!!!!  unles your going direct from houston, atlanta, miami or new york, your going to pay A LOT. most have bought them months ago and most connecting flights are booked. the same ticket at the end of january will be 30% lower than december.

Also keep in mind that if you connect thru Miami near Christmas time it will be a zoo. I waited 3 hours in line just to get my boarding pass.

NOW it not too soon but you may be in for a shock. Both price and availability.  Internal travel will not be too bad but it will be a bitch getting TO Colombia

are you flying before or after christmas? last year i wanted to fly before and was quoted $900-$1200 and up from kennedy to bogota, i switched the dates to the 27th and got a flight for $490, being there a few days earlier was not worth $400, so i got the cheaper fare, oh and i bought the ticket in oct. flying before xmas is very expensive, if you can find a fare less than $900 i would get it, although you may be lucky to wait, i doubt that the prices will get any lower for that time of the month.
