like with anything you have to use your head, be patient and not allow the woman to set the pace. some guys get so excited on going out with a beautiful woman that they lose whatever brains they have. start off slowly and see if you hit it off. i've always known after one date if things were going anywhere, so the first date was always something informal, a drink, coffee, ice cream.

this is true, that is where being patient comes in, knowing her family and friends will help weed out the good actresses, not all but some.

... in response to TIGHT WAD?HuhHuh, posted by Montrealer on Oct 23, 2005

man i can write a whole set of notes of how to date in cali for under $20USD/day!  ja, ja..  give you guys an example, movie here is $2.5k-4k peso(1USD=2250 peso), Lunch at the mall is around $11-20k peso for two, going to "locals" spots, there's lots of places that local col go that is very fun, live music, and cheap.  By doing things like that you show the girl you're "hip" to her scene, then when you take her to the "nicer" areas of town to party you'll be scene as "hip" to those scens.

Also, if you're in town for 1 or 2 weeks, spending money is different than being in town for 10 weeks.  What i like to do use lunch at a mall as the FIRST DATE, to scope out the girl, then if she's worth it i take her to dinner(which is naturally going to be more expensive).  Since i'm in town for 10 weeks, i have the luxury of time.  But when i was in town for only 1 or 2 weeks, i couldn't use this strategy as much, because time was short.

Example, in cali there's parque san antonio it's a great date place, outdoors, cheap food/drink vendor, good ambiance, a FREE live entertainment and gringo-free.  It's where LOTS of COL with little money(ie, students) take THEIR date.  After that, i head down for dancing in aveinda sexta or another place.  Also in Cali there are VERY expensive bars/restaurants that rival ones in US, so you can take them there when you think they're worth it.  But just like the US, i rarely take a gal to on a first date to an expensive place.  I usually save that for the 2nd or 3rd date.

Point of the post is THERE ARE cheap, fun, and safe places in ANY COL cities(how else do the locals party right?)  You just have to find them.

, crepes/waffle is a little expensive for the locals, and it's everyone knows it.

I agree with you. I prefer to get to know them and not really do a real fancy night with them until i am sure about them. An average dinner and some dancing and most women i have met are thrilled.

I don’t like taking women to expensive restaurants until I get to know them. Then I might spoil them a tad. Recently I had an agency cita and we agreed to meet for lunch the next day.  We ended up at a very expensive restaurant probably for mafia - a place suggested to my date by the agency temp who did not know better.  When I sat down and looked at the menu I was tempted to leave but went along with it.  The next day we were supposed to meet in the afternoon for ice cream and the date did not bother to show up or call giving me the impression she went on a date for a nice meal. I am usually more careful - but this one slipped through the cracks

Exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

Spoiling the dates at the end of your trip is my idea too.  It will leave them something to remember you by and look forward to your next trip down.

I will let CaliPro elaborate but in a nutshell, the premise of CP Rule #1 it to not spend any money of consequence until you have sex. CP spells it out in more detail but I think you can get the gist of it herein
