domestic latinas

I just had an interesting experience and in an effort to keep my dear friend DS at the WLC amused,  I was at my nearby cigar store earlier today talking to my friend a local Cuban – he helps me with my Spanish and in return I assist with his English.  Anyway, we got stuck on the word "bulge," which I did not know how to say in Spanish.  No, I am not gay but was teaching him the pronunciation of "War"and "Battle" in English and came to the word bulge, as in Battle of the Bulge.  Anyway, we were both stuck so we went next door to the restaurant to find someone to translate the word for us and in there were 2 Latin hotties that we ended up striking up in a conversation.  Turns out they are sisters from Venezuela in Miami for only 3 days on a shopping trip.  They had Spanish passports from their father who was born in Spain and thus able to travel to the states.  They are flying back tonight but we all exchanged email/phones.  I am not sure what if anything will come of it but it goes to show that there are Latinas here not yet ruined by the young/buff and rich latinos.   How one taps into that I can't tell you but it sure would be easier to date someone that does have papers.  Where there are 2, there has got to be more.  If a newbie was in fact reading this, before I got on Avianca, I might be inclined to figure out how to tap into those that just might have a visa.  I would bet if one made the effort – it could be done. Just a thought

I have 3 good friends of mine that live here in the states. 2 in North Carolina and 1 in Miami. They are from Bogota, Lima and Santo Domingo and they are really wonderful women. , work hard and are not jaded by life here. All really attravtive. As soon as my seperation is legal, they are gonna tear my door down to vist me. Point is, there are great latinas right here in our on back yard, you just need to talk to them.

the first girl i met through amigos.com was from cali visiting  the US for a month, she was in Philly when she contacted me, told me she would be visiting my area and wanted to know if i'd like to meet her. very hot, shakira look alike, great lips and bod. well, she contacted me when she got into town, we went out but in the end she didn't like the cold northeast weather so she went back to cali. i'm glad i met her, she showed me that there are many real colombian women who are not looking for green cards. after her i met many colombianas here, some were recent arrivals, others had been here for a few years and a few were born here with colombian parents that have been here for many years. there are advantages to meeting someone locally, not all are going to be converted to the mentality of AW, many keep the values learned in colombia. there are many latinas in the US that you can go out with, there is no need to goto latin america, in my case it just happened that my fiancee was in colombia but i was equally open to meeting someone here. keep in mind that finding a wife overseas and bringing her here will not protect you from being with someone that can change into the AW we are avoiding. a latina that has been here legally for a while, that is used to the lifestyle, has learned the language and is still not like an AW is someone we should all try to meet. there are many, you just have to put yourself out there in the latin community.

this should get a star (inside joke). well said, if i had to start the whole thing over again i think i would put my energies domestically. But I would argue that most latinas here, at least in miami are not interested in dating gringos. Once here, they want to stay within the latino community and also have attractive options with the local latino community where supply/demand is not at a disadvantage to them as in Latin America. But as you well noted, there are those that are new and/or available. My guess an internet campaign or working the bars in Miami would pay off handsomely or luck

I originally got interested in Latin women from meeting a Mexican woman who was here on vacation (with visa).  We dated for a few months.  Niether of us wanted to move though, so we had no future.

The key is this-  Be as attractive to her as the men she dates in her own country.  Works like a charm...

Patrick, with a due respect, let me digress from your last point, assuming by attractive you mean the same age and/or looks, few of us with maybe the exception of Pimpdaddy are going to be on the same level as guys they date in their own country.  Yet, those latinas with a visa OR JUST OFF THE BOAT, might be just as equally gringo motivated as some of the MOB relationships that do flourish and yet may not be on  balance in respect to age/looks.

If the woman is here on a visa, it means that she already HAS money, and doesn't need yours.  They will probably laugh at you like the women in Colombia do.
