I have used both Amigos & Match for a long time. On a recent vacation to Colombia I had arranged to meet ladies in Cali, Bogota and Medellin. I have an ad posted there, but ladies rarely write to me. I write to them and refer to my ad, which is written in Spanish, Portuguese and English. Most of them will write back, and from there you can try and develop a friendship and dicuss meeting in person if you are interested. I live in California, and wouldn't list my location as being in Colombia unless I truly lived there.
Along those sames lines, when you KNOW you are going to be visiting their city and you tell them either in your e-mail or even in your profile, they will be much more interested in knowing you. As many guys here have mentioned before, LOTS of guys write and write, and never leave the US. Many girls have experienced this or have a friend that has, and you will find they are often slow to get involved. Give them a date and time to meet, and you will get to know LOTS of girls.
