Tino Asprilla

The owner of my apartment,Tino Asprilla came by today.I had never met him before,his sister is authorized person,mamanges the apartment.His friend was saying you know who he is,right?I had no idea untill I found the apartment,was told about him ,looked him upon the web.He is probably Colombias most famous athlete ever,played on 2 world cup soccer teams in the 90's.He no longer plays,stopped about a year ago.The artical I read said he was the second most recognizable person in Colombia,after the president I presume.He used to live here with his wife Leidy Noriega,a former Miss Venizuella,a singer and an actress  on a Bogota Novella.
He was  recently on a reality type TV show out of Panama,got bounced as happens over time with the shows,as well as his buddy with him who just recently got bounced.The guy spoke good english,actor out of Bogota I think.They met on the show,are off to the US tommorow.
Beatriz was thrilled to be introduced as my novia,which she now is,no more 2 women,see my post below.

Outstading soccer player...played with the Colombian National Team during the '94 World Cup  here in the USA.

Some were predicting Colombia to win WC 94.  They had won the South American qualifications and had recently beaten Argentina 5 - 0 in Buenos Aires of all places.  But WC94 turned into a disaster for Colombia.  They were trounced by Romania and then eliminated by U.S. on a ball deflected in by Andres Escobar, a Colombian player.  To make matters worse, Escobar two weeks later was assisinated in Medellin taking 12 bullets.  I guess the cartels had been betting on Colombia.  This was undoubtedly the low point in World Cup history.

As for Asprilla, he was probably as famous for his off-field antics as his onfield ones.  If he lived in Pete's apartment, the neighbors are probably happy he's gone. lol  My recollection of Asprilla as a player was that he could be brilliant one game but then dissappear in others.  I remember that he played with Parma in Italy when they won their first UEFA Cup in 92 or 93.

Asprilla did live here,I asked him,he said when he was married,which ws to Leidy Noriega.The story here is he was shooting guns in the air and playing loud music and telling anybody who didn't like it to f- - k off.My neighbor across the hall is a original owner.I asked her if she was hetre when Asprilla was.She said yes and rolled her eyes.IT a Condo,homeowners rules.The other owners got him kicked out.A Colombiano I know said my apartment is the most famous in Cali becasusde it was often making the evening news with stories about Asprillas antics.I guess the news would show the outside of the apartment.This place looks pretty spectactular from the front.I need to take a picture of it.
I am going to call you.Lots of imfo on the house deal.

What I didn't know untill 10 miniutes ago is Beatriz hit him up for autographs for her nephews.I missed that while I was talking to the actor guy.But yeah,this autograsph super hero thing.Its may be a pain for the celebrity.Althouigh he has a neat little face type thing he does with his signature.I guees he is used to it.The only time I ever did thast I hit up Conway Twitty back when he was a rock and roller.He was talking to this chicas,I just barge right in.He gives me this get the f--k  out of here look,plus the autograph.Gave it to Betty Lou Drake.Didn't get me nothing but as min iute of her attention.
