Well my wife and her step son have arrived here finally after
about a year and a half of fighting immigrations. She came up from
Barranquilla thru Miami. Miami airport did nto let me down as
usual, when she went to the Amercian airlines set of gates. They
stopped her and pulled her aside to go thru their pratice to make
sure they don't get rusty when a real terrrorist comes thru. My wife
really did not understand what they were doing and started to cry
in front her son. They offered to bring her in a seperate room to
finish the wand down to make sure she had nothing on her. She
called me shorty after to tell me what happened in between sobs. I
was midly pissed about about only because this wand crap is just
that crap. Where I work we use both the walk thru metal detector
and the wand. They can adjust that walk thru metal detector
anyway they wish stronger or weaker. We don't bother with anyone
unless we cannot get them to walk thru the walk thru with out
setting it off. It usually has to do with the shoes having a metal
arch in them.  Anyway now that my rant is done with...

My wife is doing very well so far... I got my step son in school
starting Tuesday. So everything is going pretty good so farr.

Pete

It is not really a big deal I might have overreacted also. I have tried since we
had most of the troublemakers leave to avoid getting in prolong flame wars only
because not much comes from it except filing the forum with crap.

I really was not trying to piss you off about your spelling I kinda realized you
were out of it. You are lucky to have your girl around to help you. It is kinda
funny how you find out when the chips are down who comes thru for you and
who does not.

Believe I would just as soon forget the whole thing... is it a deal?

One thing I am going to get use to real fast is having someone actually worry
that I am eating good natural foods.  She woke me up this morning and made
me do house work, put away all my tools in the basement ect. She told me she
could tell I have not had a woman here for a long time.

LOL...

Congrats & welcome to the club :-) Go ahead & eat those natural foods....just make sure that you & your step-son go to a REAL football game & down a couple of Philly Cheese Steaks!

Best of luck to you & yours....

p.s. Your profile didn't specify where in the Northeast y'all are living, but I'm sure you can find a Spanish market, where your wife can find familiar foods & spices.
