Someone posted on the Russian board.

http://www.cis.org/articles/1997/IR28/mail-orderbrides.html

Some excerpts:

"... 4,000 to 5,000 new Americans arriving via the mail-order bride route ... Compared to the 40,000 to 50,000 annual marriages between Americans and foreign nationals where the couple met through other means (friends, travel, military, workplace, etc.)"

"In terms of age, 20 percent are 16-20 years of age, 41 percent are 21-25, 24 percent are 26-30, 11 percent 31-35, and just 4 percent over the age of 35."

It kind of surprised me that only 10% of the foreign brides were introduced through typical MOB means. I guess when we advise to get introductions from friends or just go there, and see who you meet, we're hitting the higher percentage. It also means that 61% are under 25, 85% are under 30, and 96% are under 35. Kind of surprising, also.
