I just got a mail from my friend Dennis,an Architect who lives in Key West.He is OK,his house is OK.His Friend Ricky who was here with him in April lost his house and an income property in New Orleans.I was afraid Dennis might have something similar happen,I wouldn't take much of a storm surge to put Key West under water.Every since I helped my friend build his house in Islamorada and we had to have the first floor of the living area 8 ft above the ground I have been thinking the Keys is a disaster waiting to happen,just like New Orleans.If the water EVER gets to the first floor of that house the WHOLE KEYS is under water.
