 This sort of thing has been happening quite a bit in the past couple of weeks, FEMA and Homeland Security interfering and preventing the sort of help that people have traditionally given each other in times of need. Many incidents have been documented, and what you saw was just the tip of the iceberg.

 But people who favor smaller government are heartless racists who only want to save a few bucks on taxes and don't care about anyone else...

also, when are the bleeding heart liberals going to integrate the inner city for diversity's sake??

Immediately after the storm myself & several hundred other nurses from here in San Antonio volunteered our services to the American Red Cross.. We were told... "You`ll have to take a class,then we will call you when we need you.".. After a couple of days of waiting, I said screw them & left for Baton Rouge. They were in desperate need of help there.. I don`t remember when I have encountered such arrogance as I did with this so-called "help" agency.. If you send them money,it will almost certainly go to some bean-counter,not where it is really needed...
