... Just checked the rates (for Fiesta card)  to Colombia, but when I called the Customer service number (of CAllinig CardS) , it said their number is invalid??
So, is their service good, legit, reliable, etc.?  anyone used them? here are the rates for La Fiesta!

from their website: "Calling Cards: Colombia Best card to Colombia with no connection fee: LA FIESTA
Check rates for specific regions: Armenia (7¢), Barranquilla (7¢), Bogota (7¢), Buenaventura (7¢), Cali (7¢), Cartago (7¢), Cartegna (7¢), cellular (8¢), Manizales (7¢), Medellin (7¢), Palmira (7¢), Pereira (7¢)"

Hi,
I have used this "Fiesta" card for a while, made lots of calls, and recharged it etc. A couple of things I have seen with this company/card:

* The connections are usually poor, and often have delay or echo

* I think they rip you on the minutes. They don't provide any call log, so you are just trusting them for the minutes. It seems like the available minutes are deducted a lot faster than they are really used. At the rate they advertise you should be able to talk a LOT longer that you actually can.

I've been following the advice of others and plan to try some of the other cards suggested here recently.

Thanks Bill, seems like the concensus is that a lot of the cards don't deliver as promised, yeah, I am still leaning towards VOIP.

When I first started using "La Fiesta" (from CallingCards.com) a few months ago, it was great.

However, they have gone downhill.  The first change I noticed was a new access number (new management?), and then I could no longer recharge/transfer my pins.  Then bad connections, dropped calls, etc.

Update on what I'm using/considering now:

www.STSPrepaid.com - The "STS Unlimited" card is unusual and doesn't work like other cards.  Instead of buying minutes, it is (allegedly) more like buying a group of 90-minute phone calls.  There is a glitch in the automated system that says you have "13 days" which should probably say "13 calls" or "10 calls" or whatever the computer thinks 13 days equates to.  It is a flat fee of $1.05 for a 90-minute call to a land line.  Maintenance fee additional.  So far, so good.  This card is excellent for pre-scheduled long phone calls, but don't use for any calls you don't plan to talk for close to 90 minutes, or YOU WILL WASTE THE MONEY for that call.  If you talk more than 90 minutes on any one phone call, there will be additional fees.  Use another calling card for short phone calls.

www.viapin.com - suggested by "typher" below.  This site has been suggested before, but I must have been lured away by hype from another card.  3.7 cents/minute sounds pretty good if it is reliable.  This is cheaper than the next card I listed below.

www.NobelCom.com - I just ordered last night, before I read the post on viapin.com which is cheaper, but at least I was able to complete my call this morning :-)

Thanks for the useful information, as I was about to purchase a $20 card from La Fiesta, so your input was timely!
It's looks more and more like I will go for Vonage (VOIP), since the rates will be almost similar for me...
Take care,

for about 4ish years now.  I hate to admit but when we're not in Cali my wife spends at least 15 mins. a day chatting with her Mom about nothing.  We use the TPC card from them and are able to get through clean and clear about 98% of the time, even on major holidays.  On occasion I've tried others just to see, but always return disappointed. -TNC
