Man I am pissed.  Headed to Cali in 36 hours and got a fever of 103. My entire body aches and I feel like I am 90 years old.  Unless I can't walk I am going but I will be far from my best.
What kinda helpful ideas you guys got to get me better.  I talked to Michael Cannon the owner of Cali-Vip and he said he has some antibiotics that he uses and it wipes things out. I am not real excited about self prescribing.  I am guessing this has happened to someone here: So what did you do?
Symptoms I have include: Fever, chills, dry cough, general body soreness.
Thank you

Damn, I was just too sick to go. About 12 hours before my departure time I had a fever of almost 104.  It just made no sense to travel and arrive in Colombia when I was feeling this bad.  The airline was cool and will let me reschedule.  We will see what can be worked out with Cali-Vip.
I hope to go in a few weeks when I can get myself feeling better.
See ya

I am still dying but at least I have an antibiotic now.  I am not going to be looking or feeling my best for the trip but thats how it goes I guess.  The Colombian security at the airport is going to think I am trying to smuggle coffee grounds in from under my eyes.  I hope the Colombian woman like baggy, sunken, eyes  and a pained expression across my ugly mug!

"baggy, sunken, eyes and a pained expression across my ugly mug!"

Well, with a name like Fatertime I guess that’s about par for the course.

Once you get to Colombia kick back a day, visit a nice hair salon, get a massage, manicure, maybe even a spa treatment and you should be back to your normal dashing self.

If all else fails, win those sweet ladies over with your sophisticated charm and great personality. :-)

¡Suerte!

Mark Twain once had a similar disease. He was telling a friend about it:
--Twain "I had the most terrible cold and fever, thought I was going to die. I went to a doctor in some little frontier town. The doctor advised me to drink a bottle of whiskey and sleep all day. I thought 'what kind of advice is that?' and went to the doctor across the street. He advised me to drink a bottle of gin and sleep all day. I still wasn't too sure about the advice, and luckily there was one more doctor in the town. I went to him, he advised me to drink a bottle of rum and sleep all day."
--Friend "So, which doctor's advice did you finally follow?
--Twain "All of them."
--Friend "ALL of them? Did you cure the cold?"
--Twain "I really don't remember."

Start popping vitamins especially vitamin c man. Good luck. Does not sound good but I've had to travel to Ukraine like that (20+ hrs!) & also had to tour/gig like that.

Just made an appointment with a local doctor.  I never, never see doctors but in this case I figured I'd better.
