Great pics. I absolutely love Medellin. I hope to live there someday. Although I have to say that the only time I ever felt in danger was in Medellin, walking back down the hill from Pueblita Paisa. There were two youths on scooters riding back in forth scoping us out. I stared them down and nothing happened. Another beautiful area close to Medellin is El Penon(sorry, I don't have an enye on my keyboard). It is a huge monolith rising out of an absolutely gorgeous lake. Climbing to the top of the rock damn near killed me. Definitely not fot the faint of heart. But the views are spectacular. After talking to friends here in San Diego from Medellin, I was told that that area was fairly dangerous for gringos but I had no problems at all. Plenty of military on the roads. The bus ride while uncomfortable was an experience I will always remember. My dream: an apartment in El Poblado and a finca near El Penon.

Merdellin is very pretty in the better areas and downtown.
And everything I saw was very clean.A friend rode the metro north to where you can catch a tram up the mountain.He said he saw the worst barrios he had ever seen up there.
I was disapointed no Parke Llegas photos,its the place I like best.
What hour they took the photos to find the expressways not jammed I don't know,maybe they were years old.Medellin has the worst traffic I have seen.
The prettiest city in Colombia to me,although Cartagena is more unique.And its SUPPOSED to be safe to just drive out to some of the villages in the nearby mountains.Driving in from the main airport,which is over a mountain range from the city it looked like mountains in the western US to me.
A place I could live.But I am not pulling up stakes in Cali right now,I am too tied to it to go off someplace new,although for beauty it doesn't even start to compare with Medellin.
