Hey Guys,
I just got back from spending three weeks in Barranquilla.
I know alot of guys have been in Barranquilla lately.
Would you guys agree that Barranquilla has more beautiful women than any other city in Colombia?

Some Highlights of the trip:
1.Copa now has a flight from Lax to Panama, then from Panama directly to Barranquilla. The total travel time is 9 hours.
Previously, the plane stopped in Cartagena and the total travel time was 11 hours.
2. Hotel Boulevard 58 is four blocks from Hotel El Prado and has nice rooms for $95,000 pesos per day.
3.A new apartment/hotel is being built at Calle 72 and Cra 59.
The rooms are perfect and include internet hook up. They only charge $900,000 pesos for a one month stay ( $14 dollars per day).
4. I met with a marriage and family counselor before my trip.
One piece of advice she gave me was to make a friend in Barranquilla and have that person do some matchmaking for me.
So,I during my trip I made friends with a family lawyer.
She introduced me to two of her friends- a lawyer and a teacher and both of them fit the description I had given her.
Has anyone else met a women in this fashion? How did it work out?
5. I also met with a Colombiano family psychologist once per week.
He helped me make decisions about the ladies I was dating. It helps to make this search a group project. Has anyone else received assistance from a Colombiano?
6. Do to a "check up from the neck up" my effectiness was much better. For example, one day a beautiful woman who works at Hotel El Prado was flirting with me. It the past I would had made some excuse not to take my shot, but fortunately those days are over.
We exchanged info and later emails and we have plans to see each other when I return.
Has anyone gotten married following a chance encounter?
Are there any success stories that do not involve an agency or meeting online?
Choa Pues...

Cabo,

Your #'s 4 and 5 are excellent techniques!  Can you please describe what you did in more detail?

For example, how did you decide who to contact in Colombia to be your match-making friend?  How did you choose the Colombian psychologist to help you figure out the women you met?

Brazil,

I found the psychologist by looking in the Yellow Pages under"Famila Sicologos".
I was looking for a male that was happily married to a Colombiana.
He happens to  have experience counseling Americano/Colombiana couples.
Talking to someone, who knows what they are talking about, relieves alot of stress.
I met the familia abogada in June.
We had a wonderful conversation. She is attractive, intelligent and has a great, friendly personality.
She is a professional dancer and a fantastic dance partner and I would be happy to introduce her to any guy on this board who is looking for a good woman.
She is 25 and has no kids.
I would have taken a shot myself ,except for the fact that I am looking for a trigena and she is a morena.
Her dance company will be touring the USA in September and I will annouce the dates and venues.
All of the women in the dance company are beautiful and can dance Mapala and Cumbia for two hours straight in 100 degree tempurature.
This skill could come in handy for a young guy with good cardio vascular health.

Hi Cabo,

Thanks for your great post. I am going back to Baq in Sept, probably around the 11th thru 19th. Would you mind emailing me at jjr7iron@nospam.com? I have a couple of questions. I tried to get your email address from your profile, but I guess my computer's cookie isn't on this site at the moment so I could not access your address.

Thanks,

Serenade

Going to barranquilla is`no different than bogota, cartagena, medellin, etc. It is only fair upon members of this board to direct a would be Colombian traveler to go to a city that best suits his requirements.  Some people like Chevrolets, others Fords, and other Mercedes, and Professor Pete in Cali likes BMW's. Some of these cities just have a limited variety of models and this is the way it is.

I kind of like your professor impression of me.
Really?  Me??
I came across like that over enchiladas and beer?
I thought YOUR  story was interesting.About as good as it gets short of not having to work at all.Maybe better, more interesting.Ever meet the big guy?I know, you are not supposed to say.
