Don’t know if you guys know about Avianca’s AIR PASS. It may be CHEAPER for you Frequent Flyers to Colombia.  A guest of our’s told me about it yesterday I wanted to get the word out.

I called Avianca and here are the details:

11)  It MAY BE CHEAPER to buy individual tickets, so check this pricing also!

Dear Mudd, I too felt that Avianca sucked big.  Once upon a time, they called me at my hotel in Colombia and wanted me to return to their office and pay $15 on a clerical error on their end.  Needless, to say I was furious!  However, I believe that they are now under new ownership and I have not had any problems with them lately.  On the BQ routes, your second checked bag arrives a laughable 48 hrs later by policy.  But again – they seem to be getting better.  I recently read an article about tourism in LA, and they pointed out that the lack of competition among the airlines and high fares are holding back growth.  Competition is the answer.  But for now...at least we still can get free cocktails in coach

Steve, this is good information. Had you not threatened me twice with lawsuits I would be your biggest fan and send more guys your way. It is a shame we had our fallout. Best to you - I think the matter is closed (unless of course your lawyer still wants my address). You have the potential to be the best agency in Colombia - I wish we had not gotten off track because you do run a professional show, Medellin is the nicest city in Colombia and has the most beautiful women.  Now I am stuck with BAQ and Cali..hehe. I did not start the dispute - it is in your hands to make a happy ending. cheers
