I have spent about a total of a month in Peru so far. Great place. I have met some very beautiful and intelligent women there. My first visit i ended up going to Iquitos for several days and then into the Amazon. If you can imagine a cowboy from Montana in the jungle?? I had an absolutely great time. I am not really a cowboy but i am a very good horseman. Had a great time with the two women i went with. Both had English skills, not the best but between my gringo Spanish and there English, things went quite well. I was there last October and Lan-Peru had just gotten shut down by the Government. I was on the last flight out of Iquitos before they shut them them down. Man was that place hot and humid. I went to many places when i was down there and started seeing just one of the girls i was with. Went back again in February and stayed with her and her family for 2 weeks. Great people i must say. Needless to say my Spanish got used alot. I have been taking Adult Ed classes for about 6 months so you know my skills are pequeno to say the least. What great fun though. Went to the Andes mountains this time. A place called Tarma and also to San Ramon ( high jungle). Rode a typical passenger bus to get there. I felt like a local but i am sure i did not look like one. I see why they put a curtain across the front so you cannot see how the driver is doing. Very steep cliffs and the hairpin turns were really wild. Kinda like going to the local fair and riding the andrenaline rides. Great time though. The woman i was with is a Dentist and her friend put braces on me when i was there in October. I can fly and vacation there for what it would cost to have this done here. If anyone wants a name of a great Orthodontist let me know. The relationship between the Dentist and i did not work out i am sad to say. She would not leave her family. I think after reading the forum now i might consider living abroad. I will have to see. That is a short take on my visits. I had fun fun fun..
