At the risk of sounding political I wish to extend my sympathy to any victims of this great country.

They have always stood by us and I dare say that we shall always stand by them.

doesn't have a dayyum thing to do with one's political affiliations. If this thread is gonna sink to another rant on my party/beliefs are right...and what you belive is BS!

THEN THIS THREAD WILL ALSO BE DELETED!!! BOMBS DON'T GIVE A DAYYUM ABOUT YOUR POLITICAL AFFILIATION! This goes for EVERYONE!! This is the ONLY board on PL that goes through this BS. Go on...take a look for yourself! For the time being...threads such as these will have a very limited shelf life.

Heat this only falling on deaf ears here ......... to many Liberals to understand . I was in Tele Aviv , Israel when they had the Beirut bombing at the  Marine barracks . I later found out that my cousin was one of the marines hurt in the blast . It seems that you have to be Military or have some relation that gets hurt or killed do they get mad  or understand this cause . To bad we could not have maintain the anger we had after 9-11 ..... I feel that there could have been a lot of things done different but that is in the past. Now we have to support and defend the us ....all over the world ... Many guys on this board do not feel this way ...

I can remember sleeping in Israel and putting steel plates over the windows and doors every night , no matter how hot it got if you wanted to live you had no choice . Let soem of these guys live like that for a month and they will change there view .

I hope this does not get deleted before you can read this and others............

Where were you in Tele Aviv? I was over there at the same time the marine barracks was blown up and yes it was real bad but I really did not see anyone putting steel plates up for protection. I did get to see the Military put a case of whop ass on several arabs. They did not ask no names they just kicked the crap out of them...

Fuzzy one , I did not think anyone remember the deadly day . I was living outside of Tele Aviv , and when I came to the city I stayed with friends . This family was Christian Arabs and so they had steel plates on the inside of there house on all windows and doors . I believe they lived about 1 mile from the Damacus Gate .

Where you in the military ? or just traveling ? I was there almost 2 years . I was quite a eye opener ... I spend a lot of time at The holiday Inn on the med. ocean  ...do you know where that is Huh?

Hey Jake,

Where did you live in israel? I lived in Israel for a number of years from the late 70's until 1987. I lived in Ashkelon, Kiriat Malachi and Tel Aviv.  I am curious about one thing, I dont remember a holiday inn in Tel Aviv...where was it located?  All the main tourist hotels were located on Hayarkon street, spent quite a bit of time on the beach there. Nothing beat Dizengoff street on a saturday night in Tel Aviv...

Most of my time was down by Elat , Sharm el Shiek , from  81 -83 . The name of the hotel I could be wrong , but it was where you walk by all the shops and many other bars ect . I thought it was a holiday inn ,or Ramada Inn , one of those big chain  it was fun , the company I worked for footed the bill .  ... I have a good friend that lives in East Jersulem , Salah Edeen st.

Thanks Jake, I believe it was the Ramada Continental you were referring to on Hayarkon street on the beach. This hotel had a great bar downstairs with a great view of the beach and the ocean. Were you part of the MFO?  I used to meet with a bunch of guys who worked for E systems and we had some amazing times there.

Elat was lots of fun, did you get a chance to do any scuba diving while there?

It's painfully obvious that the reason for the recent political deletions have gone clear over your head. Stop trying to paint yourself as some kind self-rightgeous warrior against evil. I'm quite sure. that the terrorist aren't just targeting those that share your political beliefs or life experiences....

I'm not in the mood for your back-handed bs. If you find it sooo hard, sooo replusive in being around those who DON'T SHARE YOUR political, social &  cultural beliefs, you know what you can do....
