I was just at the hotelamericangolf.com and paid 130,000 pesos a night (60 dollars). Not bad but beware of the waiters over charging gringos in the restaurant. It is close to exito and mall too. It was a lot quieter than the hotel versaille as well. Good luck in bq.

the other affordable hotel which has been mentioned here is the hotel versalles. i never got to check it out but it has gotten favorable reviews from guys on this board.

another is called american golf. i don't know what they charge for a room but my fiancee and i checked it out when we were looking for reception halls, its a new hotel, one year old and judging by the wedding package that they were offering us it appears to be affordable, worth checking out.
