Anyone have the number to the place across from the Colombian Consulate in Coral Gables that does the VISAs? A few of you told me about it.
Thanks in advance.

I have used Dourapid also and do recomend Marina. They are fast and cheap. They are actually on the same road as the consulate one block west. They do everything including notarize and apostille. If you need help at the consulate as for Monica 305-442-9215. Both Marina and Monica speak good English...

Would this agency/company and the consulate be of any help concerning the adoption of a child?  I have a step-daughter and her husband that I am helping to locate the appropriate agencies to adopt a baby-- very possibly in Colombia.  Any help would be appreciated.

The procedure for adoption of a Colombian minor child
and securing the U.S. resident visa is outlined on the
U.S. Embassy, Bogota website:

Gary,

Thank you for the info that you sent me.  I am working on that to help my step-daughter.  By the way, do you know Robert Vignola?  I understand that he owns an agency in Cali, is also an attorney in the States, and has adopted a Colombian child.  I am trying to contact him about that.  Thanks again.

They may be able to help. Alternatively call Robert Vignola at 203-649-6418 off or 203-627-7530 cell. He is an attorney and has adopted a Colombian child himself. He is very familiar with the entire process. He may still be in Cali this week. If you can not get him then try in Cali at 572-666-1525. I recomend him highly .. good luck

Maggiemtnman,

Thanks for the info on Robert.  I will try to contact him.  Also, I know that he has an agency, but I can't recall the name  (Colombian Connection?).  At any rate, I am curious if you have used his agency?  If so, what do you think. It has been a while since I saw that website, but I don't think it stays very current.  What do you think?  If you used it, how would you rate that agency compared to others in Colombia?  Thanks again.

Latin Women Connection is a good agency for meeting women on line. He has no physical office in Cali so once you contact the women on the internet you are on your own to meet them in Cali. Robert does rent out his condo in La Flora which is a good deal and in a safe neighborhood. Alternative choices with offices in Cali are Latin Best (met my wife there), All Colombian Girls and Latin Encounters ...

Maggiemtnman,

Thanks for the additional info.  So, Robert has no office in Cali-- that's interesting.  I have looked at his website, but it has not changed for quite awhile.  I thought that maybe it was going out of business or something.  So, basically, you have to buy the addresses from him, and then contact the women directly?  Some of the ladies on his site are very attractive, but again, I have never used him before, so I was just trying to get some idea of how good his service is-- or is not! (whatever the case may be).

OkieMan, I spoke to Robert this morning and he said that he can help you with Colombian adoption. This is part of his business. He works with a company in Texas. He just returned from Cali and you can e-mail Robert at vigmaster2002@nospam.com or call at the numbers given before ... good luck
