Can a woman who is divorced with a child take the child out of the country if she marries ?

I have a friend who is chatting with a peruviana who has a 10 year old boy.

If this gets serious does she need her ex- husband approval to take the boy out of Peru ?

Is it the same situation as Colombia ?

Thanks

Jeff

I was once faced with that situation and the father of the child would not sign unless he got 10,000 bucks..... needless to say I moved on .....

Yes, you need the father's consent or a court order if he does not consent. One reason to marry a widow like I did.

Yep, consent needed from Peruvian father (or court custody paperwork).  Asked USCIS this very question, and was involved in a similar scenario.
