Well, if you missed the show it was a fun. I didn't get to take any photos because I was one of the judges. The show itself was not an awe-inspiring spectacle by any stretch of the imagination, but for a small venue it wasn't bad. Next time when I have the magazine and DVD in hand, we'll have it in a larger venue. The girl that won lives in San Diego, but is a Calena. She has done some work for Playboy and won a beach bikini contest in San Diego. She'll be doing some promotional work for the magazine in Los Angeles. While the magazine was here we shot at two GREAT fincas. The first One was absolutley beautiful. It is North West of Cali by Kilometro 18. A pool, jacuzzi, and a man-made waterfall overlooking a valley. Manicured lawn, great view, and a beautiful house. You can rent the place for 10,000 pesos per person, per day. If you want to spend the night it's 15,000 pesos per night, per person. The other finca is on the other side of Palmira and it's just as beautiful in a different way. It's more into the New Age type stuff. Astrology, Tarot Cards, de-toxicing the colon and liver, meditation, that kind of stuff. A full spa service. They have a very good restaurant. The folks that run the place speak English and just the nicest people, Clara and Fernando. Also, if you stay there you get a discount on the Para-Gliding that I showed photos of last week. They also have a spring that feeds their swimming pool. The stone irrigation canal runs right through the house through the living room and under the stairs and into the pool. Really cool. The whole place is made of stone and resembles a castle. I don't use the word wonderful much, but it applies here. They charge 100,000 pesos per night and that includes three meals a day and use of the entire facility, not including the spa services. Spa services are a seperate charge. They have some really nice looking suites. They have some dorm rooms too that rent for 80,000 pesos per person including the meals. Each time we used Courtesy Car Service. We rented a 16 passenger van that was comfortable and clean. It was 140,000 pesos round trip. We had two different drivers, but each were early for their appointments. I am going to try and get up to the finca by Palmira (New Age) this weekend to shoot some photos for the story and maybe shoot one of my models, so if anyone is interested in going up there with me drop me a line. Like I have been writing about there is more to Cauaca Valle than just Cali. I'm getting out there more to find these kind of things. Gotta run. Later gators, K
