Author Topic: What is needed for a civil marriage???  (Read 1271 times)

I am planning to have a quick civil marriage to get my wife on my medical plan right away before I plan a church wedding later.

Could anyone tell me what documents my Peruvian fiancee will need for a civil wedding here?  Another person I know stated that she will only need her Passport and her birth certificate...but I am not sure.

Thanks all in advance!!!

I'm not a lawyer but aren't marriages licensed by the State?  Each State probably has it own laws, rules and procedures.  You can probably find the info. for the particular state you plan to get married in, on the States public website.
