Don't you think you are getting just a little fast with the eraser. Some one calls someone a scumbag and threatens violence. Says I date little girls and hang at cat houses ( I believe this is a new identity for Capt Jack) I quote the Who from TOMMY "Deaf,dumb and blind boy sure plays a mean pinball" and I get zapped because this bobo dosn't know about his name. Trolls come and go. The guys that make this board interesting are not the new crop of agency owners who think they can make money  or the whiners who complain about injustice in the world. It is the few who have experience and try to provide true information, while keeping it lively. It would be a shame for the trolls and delusional experts to run rampant on this board with out the cynics to challenge them. I have always tried to challenge others here to think and debate ideas. I always inject new perceptions as to what is said. If you want a bunch of lemmings who congratulate bobos when they announce their wedding to someone they have known for a week or boys from the china board here because they are bored, I guess I was wrong about the purpose for which some of us stayed. This community is loaded with neurotic failures, well meaning people and total crazies. It is very difficult to sit in silence while some act rude and others pass on personal perceptions that are totally erroneous.You have been here longer than I and are also an alumni of LL.net. Maybe I got it wrong!   jimc

  Obviously some people feel threatend by the newcomers. I got news for them. They should be. You are exactly right. This is a very easy business. But there is another side of this business. Which is what I see as a big weakness among the owners of these sites.

That is lack of knowledge of the internet and how to make it work for you. Target Marketing and Branding, Behavioral and demographic media planning, Rich Media, Programming and Design, and Database Knowledge.

I feel the same way you do. I didn't do this for the money I make money good money. I have a 16 year very sucessful Career in Television and I am very happy here.

I did this because I see a big weakness in this industry. I see a bunch of Money Hungry people taking advantage of not only American's but Latin's as well. I will be charging on my site don't get me wrong. But I am not Greedy at all. I surley will put a dent in the old schools income.

That’s a good point. I don’t think there are very many that don’t tell their family. But by not doing so it could be a means for the woman to break away from her family. If she says something she won’t be allowed to join and by not saying anything she gives herself an avenue for adulthood.

Most of the industry is crooked. I communicate privately with a few agency owners but it is a very competitive business. The only problem I have with other agencies is when they steal my material.

I was refering to the comment of the slew of new agencies taht think they are going to make money.

I appreciate your kind words. I know you do the very best to run a decent agency and it does show. I guess the main reason I am here is to put a dent in these crooks income!

Well Jammy if I was trying to make money then I would charge people.Right??? You may notice that my site is free. I started the business for the purpose of meeting people of both sexes in Colombia. Although my partner has greater hopes. In the future It will evolve into an agency simular to the former Crystal Palace. If you think money can be made in this business, you don't know what money is. why don't you try Real Estate. The three properties I  bought in Cartagena have doubled in the past year and a half.

Maybe you're right that I get a little quick sometimes with my delete button. But I'm trying to give some of our newest posters a little space to see more of what can help them, than what can waste their time. Shit,I've been involved in one or two (shaddup...lol) flame wars myself here, over the years & believe that some of these wars serve a purpose. The community that you speak of...is what makes this board! My intent, when Patrick offered me the job, was to try my best in keeping a good thing going, never to change what made this board go. Thanks for pulling my coat, I'll try to wait a little longer before killing a thread or post, the next time things a little crazy, err...interesting!

If Jim does not want his post deleted and I don’t want Jim’s post deleted. Jim’s post should not be deleted. It should not be a case of when it is deteted.

I draw the line with any insinuation of a threat and it has happened a few times with other posters going at it. Why are those allowed?

My theory is that all the Liberals were scared off, probably to the poorbuthappy board, and to keep our tongues sharpen we indulge in a little infighting

So the answer is to recruit more Liberals to the board
