It has been a week since I arrived to Colombia and it seems like it was just yesterday. I arrived to Medellin last week and met Sandra in person for the first time. She is one of the women I met through match.com international. Sandra arranged for a taxi driver to pick me up at the airport and by 8 PM I was at a hotel in El Poblado. An hour later I met Sandra for the first time. When I came down to the lobby, there was a beautiful woman looking through the magazines. I knew it was Sandra. This moment was the culmination of three months of e-mails, almost daily conversations on Messenger, and tons of phone calls. Sandra exceeded all of my expectations. I knew Sandra had to work the next day, so we walked down the street to the Oviedo mall and had a great conversation over a cold beer. At last, the beauty and simplicity I've been seeking! In the middle of the conversation, I reminded her of all the kisses she had sent me through our e-mails and that now she could give them to me in person. She leaned over and...we were off to a good start!
Sandra's employer changed her vacation dates to a week later, of course without her consent. I decided that this would be a good time to go to Cali for a few days. The next morning I took off to Cali and spent three days reconnecting with old friends, getting the manicure, reactivating my cell phone, visiting Pete, having my Baby Beef at Leņos y Carbon at Chipe Chape. I stayed at Don Jaime Hotel next to Viejo Barril in Avenida Sexta. The room was was O.K., but the location was great. It cost 100,000 a night. No agencies this time, which was very strange. In time, you develop enough contacts to keep you busy without them. Hope all is well for everyone.
