costa rica boondooggle tour

Well, I decided to burn some airline miles now that the springbreakers
are out of the way.
will be going to San Jose in mid-May. Have not been there in a year.
Base camp will be Hotel Del Rey.  will be doing some rafting, beer drinking and Gaming.
Anybody have any insights on sights that I should make time to go see?
The best looking women in Costa Rica are Colombianas on tour in my opinion.  However, are there any recommended marriage agencies in
San Jose or outlaying areas?
Anyone on the board going to be in costa rica in May?
Will probably go to Cali later in the year.

 I would try a agency that is in Costa Rica named Spanish eyes. I don't have any
dealings with them but I would never put my eggs in one basket and try
everything.

Have to agree with you on this one.  The most attractive girls I saw in San Jose were from #1 Colombia and #2--  the Dominican.  Unfortunately or fortunately depending on what you are going down there for-- they were working the bars where the gringos hang out.  Not wife material, but showed how beautiful the Colombianas are compared to the local population.

There are only two agencies that I am aware of in San Jose, www.mytica.com and www.spanisheyescostarica.com

www.tropic-romance.com might be doing a tour in SJ later this year.

You might want to check out www.gringos.com as there are a lot of posts about CR found on that forum.  Have you tried an archive search here on P-L?

Thanks for the info.
i looked at spanisheyes, however Calenas looks are head and shoulders above the fotos on that website.
Just my humble opinion.
I going to take some tours i haven't before in costa rica.
maybe that snorkel tour on the pacific side, also arenal
volcano

Fred ,,Jake here .. I have been to Costa Rica 10 times ...Lake Arenal is great ...they have the best hot springs there and late in the night after alittle beer some of the ladies get a little wild ... hot springs are hot .. and to see and feel the volcano erupt is even more fun . I spent 3 days with some babes I met in Cr and we had a blast . Everything was cheap .....I think the weather was a little cool but it was fun ....I always like to find a lady in San Jose and just take her with me .... that is the best way .... one time I took a 19 yo and I was 37  but it was cool............ you will have fun ...........

Hello Jake;

thanks for the info;  I moved back from south florida to
Missouri last September.  Miami is great for catching the flights to SA and CA.  I flew Martinair last year, even drove over to their Boca offices to get my ticket.
I wish Fort lauderdale would become a better gateway to south/central america.
It is green season now so I hope Rio Paucare isn't in flood stage, I will do that maybe two days.
Have you been to Jaco Beach?  I lived on the beach in florida so I heard the Beach there is subpar.
Did you cruise a mall to pick up the 19 y.o.?

I have been to Jaco beach  ..it was ok .... I live on the west coast in Florida so we have some pretty nice beachs here .. I met this 19 while getting my hair cut !!!! I asked her if she wanted to be my tourguide !!!!! It is fun to have a babe with you at the hot springs . If I ever go back to CR it would be for the fishing and the  hot springs .

I agree 100% guys living in Florida have it made . Before 9/11  I would fly to Cali on Thursday night and be back on Sunday  .... the ticket would be about 285 - 325 ... It was great ........

Now I travel to Brazil .... it takes forever ....... oh well.

There are many things to see and do in Costa Rica.  The area around Arenal is especially nice.  

I stayed at the Arenal lodge and had a wonderful time, it was reasonably priced, with great food not to mention a fantastic view of the volcano.  Here is their link: www.arenallodge.com/tours.htm
