Hello guys,

Finally i booked my ticket to Cali for August (05-29), hopefully nothing will change. I now planing my visit and have some
questions for more experienced members of the board:

1) Agency situation: I intended to use Ricardo one and stay for first week at agency, but according poster here ACG will move soon
to north of Cali, so it is not clear will ACG still be suitable place to stay in august? Another thing, i would like to have
recent information and recommendations for agencies (I look for about 22-28 latina, without kids. I am 28 myself, my spanish not
so good, but i can speak more or less)
2) Accommodation: I planing to stay part time at agency (first week)
and remaining time probably at one of the apartments (www.travelers.com.co/cali/cali_eng.html ). Any comment on
security/location of corresponding barrios? Or any one can recommend
another accommodation?

I will appreciate your responses.

Gracias.

Tide,

Good luck on your upcoming trip and here are some tips from my travels to Cali.  I had two girlfriends from Cali and you can find some very sweet girls there, although I must add that I found my "media naranja" in Medellin.  I just found the Paisas to be more compatible with my personality, they are definitely more business oriented and I found them to be more educated on average than the Calenas.  Anyway, just my two cents.  Here are my tips:

1.  Stay at the Juanambu Traveler's Suits it is a nicer place to stay than the other Traveler's Suites in Cali.  There is a gym farily close to the hotel just down the hill close to the blue colored restaurant.  Sorry I forget the name of the gym but you will definitely see a lot of beautiful women working out there.

2.  Bring a digital camera........always brings a smile to many faces.

3.  I used Latin Encounters when I went to Cali and did not have a problem with Margareth.  I used Latin Encounters when they were still at the old house.  I have some other friends that used ACG and liked their service as well.

4.  I think it is a good idea that you stay one week at the agency and the remainder of the time at a hotel.  I used the same strategy when I went to Cali.

5.  Be sure to keep an open mind and don't just fall for the first gorgeous woman that you meet.  Likewise try not to be a kid in the candy store trying all 1,000 flavors because there will always be another pretty woman around the corner.  Follow the advice that many of the guys have posted, look for a combination of personality, character, and looks.  You may want to go for an 8 with solid character and personality rather than a 10 without these qualities.......but that is just my humble opinion.

6.  Only carry a color copy of your passport, also only carry 1 credit card.  Keep your passport and other credit cards locked in the hotel safe.

7.  When taking a cab be sure to take out enough for the cab fare and put this in your other pocket.  It is best not to pull out a large wad of pesos.

8.  Use common sense and just be aware of your surroundings when walking around.

9.  I have found both Cali and Medellin to be as safe as any major US city.

10.  Do not buy any woman you have just met any expensive gifts (jewelry, laptop, electronics, etc.).  You want to sort out the gold diggers from the good ones.

11.  Enjoy the wonderful natual juices and the gorgeous women.

Thanks for your tips.

I would like you as well as other poster elaborate
more about one of your comments:
"... I found them to be more educated on average than the Calenas"
So my question is how how well educated are columbianas and particular calenas?
Here scientists community is conservative and education
is highly valued.

Tide,
I concur with Chris, the women that I have met in Medellin tend to have completed university and have professional careers.  It has been my experience that the Calenas work hard but on average do not have a univeristy education.

Good luck,
Nikkyo

Most of  the Calenas in the agencies tend to be fairly young overall.(18-23) Most have not attended a University while some may have taken a few classes.

Bogota, Medellin, and Lima tend to have a higher number of women in the agencies who have completed college or have been established in their profession.
