Hey guys, I just returned from Cali. I forgot to say that 2 months ago in Cali, I got in a fight with a guy trying to rob me.  Fortunately, everything turned out ok, but it was very stupid of me to fight back. Most of these jerks have guns and will not hesitate to use them.  Anyway, keep your eyes open.

PeteE, sorry I did not contact you. I got ahold of some nasty eggs and spent quite some time in the bathroom. I will try to hook up with in about 2 weeks. David

I guess its a fast call, sizing up the situation. But naturally we don't want to just hand over our money unless the threat seems real.Even if the guys is armed he will prtobably showyou berfore using it.
My ex girl friend  got robber last year. She is a tough chica, was fighting the  guy punching him back. She used to work security at Juanchita. Was telling me about the fights she  got in.This chica knew how to throw a punch, put her body in it.Then then the guy pulled out a gun.She  says its yours. He took her money and her inventory of clothes she was selling in a park. Her 4 year old son was with her, yelling mommy what is happening?
Jim C tells the story of a guy trying to rob him.Jim goes after the guy. Then he pulls a knife.Jim is still walking toward him,the guy turnsand splits.Cop ways are hard to change, even if the other guy is  the one with the weapon.
But one rule for sure.If the guys is high on drugs be real carefull. He probably doesn't know what he is doing.
Same chica from above had TWO friends killed in TWO weeks in Cali last may.The first one the guy got in the middle of trying to help a guy who was being robbed.Teen age kid wacked out on drugs shot them both. The second guy went in a bank in Jarmondy to take out 16,000,000 pesos to buy a taxi.He got set up some how.Guys were waiting when he came out of the bank,he wouldn't give them the money, they killed him.26 yearsold.Saved his money for years.First guy 22 with a wife and 2 year old son.
My ex didn't want to let me go to El,Centro.I go down there with my buddy Adrian all the time.He is 5-8 but 200 lbs, built like a rock.We kind of walk with an attitude.Nobody messes with us.

Pete,

Maybe you know, but what is Colombia's stance on violent crimes?  If caught, I'm sure the bad guy spends time in jail but if a killing is involved, do they have the death penalty?  My personal opinion is that when there is a death penalty it serves as a deterrent to crime.  I've never heard of someone actually being executed in Colombia (by the government) for a murder.  Your thoughts Obee wan kenobi?
