I'm actually seriously considering going to Barranquilla in mid June.

I'm trying to get a handle on the woman situation there since it has been so long since the last time I was there. But, I'm getting the feeling that they are a little bit more conservative than caleñas.

I have no problem dating nice young attractive women in Cali. The only problem I have is that the women that I would like to get serious with seem to want to just party and the ones I just like to party with all of a sudden want to get serious:-(

I was thinking that women in Barranquilla might be a little more serious about actually finding a husband than the caleñas that I have been dating lately. But, now I'm not so sure that's the case.

Having been both to Cali and the Coast of Colombia several times, I am of the impression that the ladies in Barranquilla would make better wives. I think they are nicer women in general and I found them more serious for marriage. Of course there are exceptions both ways.
I am going to Cali for a few days just to see one Calena that has potential, then heading over to the coast for the rest of my vacacion to meet several prospects.

Are you kidding me? My wife says the women in Barranquilla are the party hounds of Colombia. If you were making a Colombian "Girls Gone Wild" that's where you would go. If you are serious about finding a wife, there is one place to go - Medellin.

I don't know but I don't know how they could be the party hounds of colombia. I could never even find a good party in barranquilla Sun-Weds. Hell in Cali on Sundays some discos open at 5pm and are packed by 6pm and the party doesn't end until 5am monday morning.

I've been in contact with an agency in Barranquilla. I sent them my info. and photo. I was interested in four women. Only one wants to meet with me. In Cali I would be getting 3 out of 4 that want to meet and go out.

The only problem is women from Cali want to go out with even if they aren't interested in marriage at all. It takes a little bit of time to figure out where they are coming from.

But then again some will catch you off guard. I have a bi-sexual girlfriend in Cali. I really like her a lot and I feel real comfortable with her. Hell we have even gone out and picked up chicks together. Last time I was in Cali she blew my mind. She didn't want to us to pick up any other women and she told me that she would like a more serious relationship as in possible marriage. The only bad thing is I just can't see being married to her.

If I get bored with Cali this trip I might go to Medellin just to check it out. But, I would be like a fish out of water. I don't know anybody there. And I'm sorry to say I've never seen pictures of women that made me want to go. I'm sure there are hotties walking around Medellin. Somebody should take a few pictures of them to show the world they exist.

Try Frog Legs any Thursday. Ladies get in free and drink free. It is packed wall to wall with beautiful party women from 9 on.
Friday or Saturday try La Quinta Disco. I will put the talent there against anything I ever saw in Cali, not even close*
* The catch is I only like natural boobs and I prefer women with a little color in them, Canelas, Triguenas and Morenas. Blancas do not do it for me. BQ is the boob capital of Colombia and I woud dare say Cola capital too.

Spend time with one of the lovelies you met Thursday-Saturday.
Sunday is normally reserved for being both a beach day for the locals and also a soccer (futbol) day. Barranquilla is a futbol mad city and since they have the biggest stadium they usually host a big game on Sundays.
As in most cities Monday - Wednesday are slower days. There are still many decent places to go to Piso 26, Henry's Cafe-Bar, Boobs, La Castellana, Killa Town.....but they are not as packed as they are Thurday - Saturday night.

Is there a nice beach near Barranquilla?

I went to the beach the last time I was there but it was mostly rocks and very little sand. How far away is a nice beach? Something closer than say Cartagena or Santa Marta.

It depends on what you consider a nice beach. I don’t consider Cartagena nice. The muddy river that empties into the Caribbean in Barranquilla muddies the water all the way down to Cartagena except that Cartagena has the added bonus of man made pollutants as would anything close to Barranquilla you can go about 30 minutes either direction (but better towards Caragena) and hit some beaches that may has less man made pollutants but would still be on the brown side from the river. I would like for someone to explain why the waters around Santa Marta are on the chilly side takes some of enjoyment out of snorkeling. I personally would only swim in the waters off the islands of Cartagnea and North East of Santa Marta away from the population base. Health and safety standards are still at the prehistoric stage in Colombia where one needs to look both ways on the one way streets.
