Cali VIP and ACG

So, Pacino and I went over to Cali VIP earlier today to see how the place had changed and see what Michael has done in fixing the old place up. We were interested in going to one of the Cali VIP Party weekends. I was hoping to write and tell everyone how great the place looked. Pacino and I met there 6 years ago and we have been friends ever since. The "Palace" was also where we met Hoda and the samething applies to him. We were some of the original Breakfast Club Members.
But alas, we were denied access. Ok, ok this might be a security issue, I don't know. "Nelson" told us from the intercom that if we wanted to enter the "Palace" we had to go to the Holguines Office and register our information before he would allow us to enter.
He also stated that, "The instructions were clearly on the website." I don't know, I haven't found that part that says; "Please don't come to CALI VIP directly. Please go to our Holguines Office and register before we will allow you to enter the premises."
I'm not saying that it's not there, just that I can't clearly find it. We were a little put off that we came all the way across town to see our old stomping grounds and experience a little nostalgia and see where we were going to have this party before I took off to Ecuador and Pacino was heading back to the States, but we weren't allowed in. I find this strange since the main customers for an Introduction/Marriage agency are Gringos and when two show up at your door you're turned away. Also, I was also surprised that "Nelson" didn't come out to say in person, "Hi. Sorry guys we have a policy and I can't allow people I don't know in, yadda, yadda, yadda." I would have been cool with that, but we were treated most unfriendly especially since we came to spend our money to go to one of the advertised parties. In all fairness, they did call us a taxi so we could leave. One other thing, something I thought about. What if you are a Newbie coming down to Cali and you haven't seen the website before? Maybe there are instructions about registering first, but you haven't seen them because you have never seen the website. Someone gave you the address to CALI VIP, so you decided to check it out. How would you feel if you were treated that way and the guy on the intercom tells you to go to Holguines plaza to register. You don't know where Holguines is, it's one of your first trips in Cali. But, "Nelson" didn't ask if we knew where it was or anything so I assume he wouldn't with anyone else who showed up at their door unexpectally, speaking English, and away from any normal taxi route. I don't know, I just thought it was pretty unthoughtful on his part if had been a New Guy to Cali at his door.
We took the taxi "Nelson" called for us over to All Colombian Girls South. A little out of the way, but since we were in the neighborhood............
Very nice presentation. The place isn't the "Palace" in terms of luxury, but very nice nontheless. Nice big back yard w/ pool that looks like it can accomodate some nice parties. Paola was very friendly and explained how there service worked and offered us something to drink and showed us around. She speaks very good English too. She let us browse their books and Pacino found a couple he liked and I found a couple too. We think ACG has some of the best looking women in the agencies these days. ALOT of their female members are NOT on their website. They have a lot of women in their "in house" books.  We settled up our business and we were giving a couple of business cards and they called us a taxi.
Like I said, Pacino and I were hanging out today and we were out having fun. We decided to attend a great party and meet some new women. Just like how we started out at the place where our adventures in Colombia started out. So, when we went to pay for the party, the above happened. I just wanted to write on the contrast of the two presentations. One cold and unfriendly and the other open and comfortable.
I think I have been on this board long enough that everyone knows I don't shill for anyone (ACG) and I don't have anything against (VIP). I believe the same can be said of Pacino too. This is simply what happened to me and Pacino today and maybe this can help you make an informed decision about your trip to Cali. Make phone calls. Write emails. Ask questions. Visit the places you want to visit (Register at Holguines first if you're going to VIP).
Anyhoo. Gotta do some work.

Mike invited me over to Cali Vip to see the place.He was concerned that I was bringing my Colombian friend Adrian but finally said OK.We met Nelson,went in the hall way outside the old office where we were asked to sign in giving lots of imformation,which we did.We  waited for Mike for 5  or 10 miniutes,then he came out of the adjacent office.My guess is he had been observing us on his security cameras for some time before he came out.A little strange.Emphasis on security or suspicious paranoia?He is in the gambling business in the states and maybe it comes with his experience in that.
He has cameras all over the place but not in the bedrooms he says.He can observe everything from his bedroom.He also says everything is transmitted by TV back to the states so if anybody ever broke in they could not just remove recordings with the cameras.
Mike has done a great job fixing up the place.I always liked it before and the somewhat poor state of repair did not bother me much,but he has fixed everything.Each bedroom has air conditioning,a computer,a refrigerator and a safe.
The house is a first class place to stay.I always liked staying at an agency,it was just easy waiting for the girls their,if they didn't show you were not sitting in an office somewhere looking at your watch.
The big question still is can Cali Vip get you the citas you want?Some people who have liked the house were disapointed with the citas they could get.I guess Mike is working again with Ricardo at All Colombian girls.If he can't get you the citas he has an arrangement where you can go to Ricardos nearby to get citas.
I also like Ricardos place.As Traveler said its not the palace but very nice.Ricardo has in my opinion the best staff of any agency in Cali to try and help you.Paola is very helpfull and there is another girl,I forgot her name,also very helpfull.One guy staying here recently went there and made a deal with them to meet girls for 2 days only,thats all the time he had left At a very good price.They just sent the girls to meet him at my place in north Cali,other than both of them traveling south to get together.He had 8 citas in 2 days,7 girls showed.They will come here where they probably will  not go to a guys hotel room.
Ricardo says he is moving All Colombian Girls back north when his lease is up in 5 months or so.I guess way down south is just too inconvenient for everyone,the girls,the guys and even his staff.They can't get their by public transportation,they either walk a long distance or he sends someone to pick them up.
Latin Internet has or is moving north.Anybody know whats up with them right now?
The other major agency,Latin Best is still operating in the La Flora area of north Cali.The web site and books are outdated but Luz Amparo and Maritza Bueno will work hard to help you and know the girls well.They will also DEAL .No big bucks here,as with Ricardo.
OK,as promissed I will try to call  Margareth this morning and find out what is up with Latin Encounters.Supposedly she is running their office in north Cali.She told me she sold the agency.She also let the big house in Ingenio go and moved to an apartment in the north.My suspicion,the starry eyed guy who thought he was going to get $3000 to join bailed when reality struck.But we will see.

Hi Pete,

Excellent post.  Latin-Internet, of which I am a member, has already relocated into a hotel in the San Fernando neighborhood.  I don't have the hotel name in front of me, but I have already posted about that before.  I recently had asked them via email if they had completed the move, and they said they have.  If all goes well, I will be flying into Cali at the end of May.  I am making my plans to see the calena I have been writing to.  So, when I get there, I will be going to the new office for Latin-Internet.  I will be giving everyone here all the latest after I return.  I am really anxious to be able to finalize my plans; but certainly the highlight of my trip will spending quality time with my calena.  I will wait until after my trip to make any predictions on the outcome.

Great Post Traveller. Sounds like CaliVip is to be avoided at all costs. Glad to see at least one agency, ACG, has it still going on and worth a visit.

The second question is "Can we agree on a price?".

The third question is "Can they deliver?".

I have used every agency in Cali and gotten what I wanted. And each one has wasted my time,from time to time.

The only question is "Can YOU get what you want from them?"

I would say the same thing for ACG, ( and I am sure it has been said for Cali Vip) bad service from a few people I have met who switched from ACG to Cali Vip after staying at ACG. They complained that ACG, was not able to get a hold of the girls for meetings, (which I think is the norm for any agency) lousy parties with only 20 girls and 3 guys, two bottles of rum and some beer, not much of a party. And the owner is famous for not paying the girls who works for him. He makes a lot of money off the exclusive photo page,
Around $ 3000 to $4000 a month, not too damm bad!!!! But that figure could be high.

Both girls I know who worked and works for Ricardo said that he always pays late, about two weeks behind on their wages, and most of the time , they have to constantly ask for their salary, and I think that’s pretty sleazy. And you have to remember, most of these girls live on little money, so when a boss pays two weeks late, when they know he is making money, it doesn’t give you much reason to take the job too serious.  Being a business owner myself, I really don’t like owners taking advantage of employees who don’t make much money in the 1st place, and then they hold their salary until it fits in with THEIR time frame to pay.  Ok, I’ll get off my soap box now!!!
