I am researching the same questions.

I know for sure that the man does not need to be present for the interview for the K-1 visa in Colombia.  I am assuming that the K-1 visa requirements are the same regardless of which country the fiancee is coming from.

However, Gary Bala and others have said that it is EXTREMELY beneficial for the man to be at these interviews since it can dispel any suspicions of a sham.

Tks ,  in Peru the man needs to be present . I am planning to go down to Brazil in a few weeks . She suppose to be recieving her pkg. in the mail anyday now ... It is such a long trip I would like to have to go back 4-6 weeks from now , and then again to help her move here . A buddy of mine got married in Cali not to long ago and he did not attend the interview in Bogota  and she was in and out in like 2 hours .... not problems at all..........
