Hi Canadaman,

First, I just want to ask a question.  I am curious about what part of Canada you live in?  Can you share that with the rest of us?  Anyhow, as far as the mixed signals, and anger, etc.  I agree with the other guys.  I think that this latina is hanking your chain.  Yes, I think it was great that Jamie went to bat with you.  But, if it were me, I would do one or two things. I would either drop this girl entirely, or at least I would set up something with several other ladies, and see if something develops.  It is my understanding that you have not even met this lady in person.  You tried to do something nice, and she did not appreciate it. Yes, misunderstandings can happen, but I would be very hestitant to invest very much time in a woman who does not want you to go see her, etc, etc.  Blow her off, and start all over.  There are way too many fish in the sea for you to put up with that kind of crap!  Keep your chin up, and things will turn around.  By the way, I think it is neat that this girl likes your daughter.  But, if she likes your daughter more than you, something is lacking.  Just a thought.  Best of luck.

I work with a supply company in my book business.  The parent company is based out of Peterborough, which I believe is in that same area. But, the office I deal with is in the Cleveland, Ohio area.  Well, the other guys on this board have given you some excellent advice.  Many like myself are still "in the hunt", too.  Best of luck to you.  I think that you will find that many guys on this board can give you encouragement and good advice; but ultimately, you will have to fly to your chosen destination and check out the women for yourself.  If you are like the rest of us, you won't go home disappointed.  Just don't expect to come home engaged on your first trip.  Just relax and enjoy the ladies.  Man, are they great!

PROXIMA...

Taking it slow is one thing, but the mixed signals you are receiving should be enough to make any sane man run as fast as he can, in the other direction...
