It was almost a year from our wedding, 11 months from the time I filed the I-130, 10 months from the time I filed the I-129f.

Under the circumstances and after checking with the Captain, your AWOL has been changed to R&R.  Good going troop!  Man, I just love reading stories like this.  

Any newbie’s reading his post sitting on the fence deciding whether or not it's worth the trip going south looking for a sweetheart?  If this doesn't convince ya, nothing will.
