None needed.  Here is a list of Carribean/Central/and South American countries that do NOT require visas for Colombians:

ARGENTINA,BOLIVIA,BRASIL,CHILE, ECUADOR, PANAMA(may require of sufficient funds), PRAGUAY,PERU, GRENADINES, NEVIS, TRINIDAD and TOBAGO and lastt but not least, URUGUAY.

ALWAY checks ahead of travel to make sure this has not changed-Passport is required.

You the US citizen DO need a visa to go to Brazil.Brazil figures tit fot tat it seems. We want a visa for Brazilians,we need one to go there. Its easy to get.A travel agent can arrange it I think. They even started doing the picture and fingerprinting when we did.Problem is we could do it in 20 min and they were taking 12 hours I heard in one report. They either dropped it or streamlined it,you don't hear of it anymore but at one time the hotel owners of Rio were really complaining about the business  they were losing.

Colombians do not need a visa to travel to Brazil, BUT THEY HAVE TO HAVE A YELLOW FEVER SHOT...........should check up on this requirement.  Also for anyone who has visited Colombia recently.  Not sure how much time has needed to pass outside colombia in order not to have to have this shot.

Thanks, but his novia might want to check MRE's (Historia del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores) web site at:
http://www.minrelext.gov.co before travel.  According to them there was a change in mid 2004 but at times their info has not been that reliable or up to date
