I agree completely with you that someone can understand the meaning of certain words without those tildes and accents while translation programs are completely lost.  

I just thought it was a little humorous as it reminded me of a Messenger conversation with one funny Latina after I "impressed" her with how many arses, err, I mean years I had.  She got a kick out it as did (red faced) I.

I am in Lima right now visiting my fiancee. She will enter an English class in the states to continue her studies. Right now she is at a high beginner level. She will be studying at the Catholic institute for three months here while we wait for the visa appt.

She does want to work and continue school in the states. She has completed two years of study at a private University in Lima...she wants to continue her studies when her English is ready. ( I say two years)

I am hoping her Visa is approved in June because I am on vacation in July....this time together will help her adjust.
