i'm going wheels up on Tuesday
i'm leaving out of Boston with a stop in Hong Kong to change planes.
Then i am headed to Manila, all on Cathay Pacific.
i wanted to check just 1 bag and carry another on but that's not going to work
unless i leave a bunch of things behind. so i guess i'll have to pay up.
after a day of shopping i'll be taking the Starlite Ferry out of Batangas
to Romblon province.
i have a Nintendo Switch for each of my kids
i have yet to see any game systems even cheaper ones in the Philippines
i'm sure their playmates will have envy.
I have one of my wife's uncles arriving at the new family house the week after i arrive.
the folks who put the pluming in either used poor quality glue
on the fittings or intentionally sabotaged all of the connections as they all leak.
Luckly all of the wall tile has been installed
so i will get to pay to have a laborer smash wall tiles and chip out pipes for 4 baths and the kitchen
on the new 2 story house we have there.
Before i leave we will be roasting a pig down on the beach and putting down the
two gallons of American whiskey that i already have sitting in an LBC box in Manila.
finding new friends to help with drinking is never an issue in the province
on the average i think we enjoy adult beverages about 3 times per week.
one night is normally Red Horse the next in cheap Gin mixed with some sort of pineapple juice.
and then once the weekend arrives we pull out the Jack Daniel's.
once i'm about finished in the P.I. i will be off to Guam for 5 days.
i have to renew my daughters passport while there.
once finished the 2 of us will be flying to Manila.
i will be leaving the following day, she will be waiting for her aunt to pick her up
so the 2 of them can go back to Guam.
i thought i was going to first fly to Guam but that was going to require a kings ransom.
i paid for my boston to manila to boston tickets months ago and gave a little over $1k
round trip manila to Guam Manila was around $375.
