5000 US troops to colombia?
« on: January 29, 2019, 07:20:01 AM »
you think this was a  screw-up or done on purpose, knowing somebody would see it?

And so the prospect is 5,000 US troops coming to Colombia, no doubt do to the Venezuelan challenge for power. www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/bolton-seen-holding-legal-pad-with-5000-troops-to-colombia-written-on-it/ar-BBSSaUo?li=AAggNb9

It's 'reality TV'. And since the price of stamps just went up a nickel, it saved at least an extra 5 cents, versus sending it postal. Never mind the actual COST of training, arming and physically sending 5000 troops,  this method might put a scare into VZ, and not cost a dime!

Somebody close enough to get to Maduro's eventually going to do him in. Might take a while though, as while Maduro has no military background, Chavez purged the military of perceived 'threats' before he died, and Maduro has rewarded the military and police handsomely, to the point they're so corrupt and enriched to where if he's overthrown, they'll lose it all.

But they're a a bunch of mongrel curs and inevitably one will try to, and grab the whole bag of marbles from Maduro and it'll be somebody just like him or worse.

Maduro's pathetic. As dictators from that area go, he wouldn't have been apt enough to serve as perv juan peron's little girl pedophile round up man, were he Argentinian back then.

Or if he's possibly smart enough to read the writing on the wall,  Maduro will flee the country with a billion dollars first, to live in Bongzawi, a nation with no extradition.

Meanwhile, Venezuela, compliments of CITGO (which they 100% own and where, here in the USA, they refine their crude and have countless gas stations) and the USA's oil interests, Venezuela barely stays afloat.

That's just how it goes down there.

What's hilarious and an example of the total hypocrisy of our poltics, human rights and 'smack' talk about 'enforcing 'sanctions' against countries like Venezuela and Iraq, is the fact that they're both in terms of volume, still among the top five exporters of oil to the USA, just behind Mexico.

That money pouring in only helps them stay in power longer. The US politician's mouths say one thing, but their wallets, using OUR tax dollars, deliver a whole different message.

As long as the oil keeps coming our way,  don't expect much more than 'lip speak'.

If for whatever reason that stops with Venezuela, it's conceivable they'd say that it was necessary to go in, exercise force to 'preserve and protect democracy and human rights'.

Iraq and Iran are more complicated and preserving geo important access without alienating most of the Middle East, makes our options there less and more delicate.

Whatever we do with VZ, nations in C. & S. America will complain, but the US Govt doesn't care (even as China increasingly gets a long term foothold)  and it'll blow over quickly.

Most of the nation's down thataway have already written Maduro off anyway.
Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right!
