The Voice is sort of the opposite of what American Idol had become. On AI you had a freak show opening with the slow process of getting rid of people as the national water cooler talked about their favorites.
When The Voice started it was plain, the blind auditions and interactions among the celebrities recruiting for their teams was the show. Like a rocket it went up fast and then the show coasted to the end. So the personal sob stories while still pushed doesn't have the impact of the home visits.... The whole point "the voice" is moot after one minute on the air, after they are seen by the coaches and when viewers vote the other factors come into play just like any other show.
In any case she is out so we are safe, at least until a Filipino makes the second round cut on the next American Idol season.
