Introduction and seeking advice
« on: July 28, 2014, 02:15:19 AM »
Hey guys,

My name is Jason, and I am from Texas. I am looking to get started on this adventure to find the one who I would want to spend the rest of my life with. So far I see a lot of people talking about using Jamie's service down in Colombia, and so I am starting to plan when I would be able to go. Are there any other services like Jamie's that anybody would trust or is he pretty much the one? Would there happen to be one in Brazil?

Also I noticed that a few guys mentioned Latin American Cupid and Colombian Cupid. Has anybody been successfully using any of the Cupid Media sites? Are there quite a few legit profiles on these sites or is it more mixed results?

Any guidance and advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Jason

Welcome!

I have been around for a few years and Jamie's agency has had consistent good reviews, sometimes even when guys do not find what they are looking for there, they get good advice, he seems to be pretty honest. I particularly remember a guy that used his service and was smitten with a girl and Jamie advised against focusing on her because he didn't think they were a match, he ignored his advice and then he wished he had listened.

If I remember correctly Benjio is living in Brazil at the moment, BrazilianGirl hasn't been around but she is a local.

I think looking online, going the agency route or just going on vacation are all good choices depending on the guy and what he is looking for. What kind of woman are you looking for btw?

Good luck in Barranquilla if you choose that route, it is a fun way to go.

I haven't heard of any agencies in Brazil, but it would seem to me that if there were a good reputable one it could make some serious money, as those Brazilian ladies look great.  Remember the first language is Portuguese in Brazil...which could be an additional hurdle.

I think people have met ladies through the Cupid sites although quite a few comment on how many flakes/scammers there are so you gotta be willing to throw your line out to lots of ladies, which isn't a bad thing to do anyway. .

The biggest negative side from Jamies' Agency are that not all photos are new.

I know a girl from 6 years ago - still the same photo and also "Have a 4 years old daughter"  In face her daughter is 10 now and she also has a son which it wasn't updated.    That's an example.

otherwise, very good agency.

Anyway, I have had girlfriends from these Cupid sites you mentioned, but after searching 1,000+ ladies!  It did not work out with these ladies, but I am still a very good friend with one of them as well as her daughters.

Well I am looking for someone that I can see myself settling down with for the rest of my life. I've had my share of fun, and its time to move on in life lol. As for who I am looking for I would like her to be around my age ( I am 31), so late 20s early 30s. Also she must be willing to travel the world. I love adventure and seeing new things, so this is something she would have to be willing to do. My vacations from work are going to be spent out of the country for the most part. I would also like to find someone who has a professional career, not saying it is a must, but it would be nice. Lol hopefully I am not setting the bar to high. Of course I think the main thing I am looking for is loyalty.

Thanks Fathertime! Looks like you had success using Jamie's service! Also you are right, I think if there was a reputable service in Brazil, it would do extremely well.

Thanks Gato for the advice! I guess if I use Jamie's service I can try to stick with more of the new additions on his site? I think I am going to go down there later this year, and in the meantime use Cupid and see if there any intriguing women on there.

Buzz, even if you were just average looking you will probably have to fight them off with a stick, plenty of women dream of just that, specially educated women. I think your expectations are pretty realistic and you have plenty of time to find the right one.

If anything your biggest issue might be being overwhelmed by the number of interested and attractive women that fit your description.

Good luck in your search and have fun!

From what I've read here, were  I single, looking  for a lady from Barranquilla  and especially if I only had a couple weeks,  I'd consider Jamie's agency. At first it might seem like you're paying more,  but when you realize how many conveniences are being supplied, saving you hassle time, it makes more sense--Time is money. He's always struck me from reports here as a reputable guy and I've never heard the word 'bored' mentioned alongside his agency. I'd still take as much time as possible before going, to get acquainted with women who utilize his agency and other potentially promising women on-line,  so you can be most productive. So many lovely, interested women,  so little time.... Not a problem we typically have in our hometowns.... 8)

Depending on what city you go to in Brazil the Portuguese might be a barrier. But A LOT of people speak English in Rio and Sao Paulo. With that being said, as far as I know there are no agencies here. It's easy to meet nice looking women in Brazil but for the most part you have to be willing to approach them on your own.
